House-museum «Domik Lermontova»

The museum is located in resort zone of Pyatigorsk.

The retired parade-ground major Vasily Ivanovich Chilayev who has constructed the house for the visitors of the city was the first owner of a lodge.

The owner of the house Chilayev was very accurate person. On May, 1841, Vasily Ivanovich wrote down that he received 100 rubles by silver from the captain Alexey Arkadyevich Stolypin and the lieutenant Mikhail Yuryevich Lermontov from St.-Petersburg.

Everything here reminds a conventional dwelling of the Caucasian officer - colored black furniture and simple soldier facilities.

The first of rooms is the place where friends of the poet, were gathered in the evenings.

The situation of the room is very simple and usual, as well as in general in a lodge. The carpet over a sofa is decorated by expensive weapon: Caucasian gun, gun of the German work and Cossack dagger.
