♡          — “ i can't help it , you're just so good at keeping me entertained ! ” auggie would be lying if she said she didn't adore him for that. good old reliable mirage ; always there to add a little spice to her life. so naturally , she listened attentively , hanging on his every word. her pupils even dilating as he revealed more information , like a dog anticipating a treat. “ shit , some nerve to steal from you , huh ? ” she tapped a finger against the surface between them a few times as she considered the weight of the situation. augustine could see the darkness in him pooling as he spoke with such passion , it was burning through. she resonated with him in that way. she too allowed her anger and desire for revenge to fuel her , although perhaps she was less controlled about it. “ they must be pretty ballsy … ” the thief added. “ or suicidal. ” finishing that train of thought , a dimpled smile met her lips once more as he moved along to the topic of payment. he knew her so well. “ but yeah , of course , a thousand time yes. i'm in - i'm due for some new earrings. ” she never worked for free , that much was certain - however , if she did it would be for mirage , just for the pure fun of it all because sometimes not feeling bored for even a little while was reward enough. “ so , what's the plan once we secure the goods ? whose head's gonna be on the chopping block for this one ? ”

       Seven  wasn't  paying  anyone  in  particular  any  mind. He  wasn't  a  big  drinker  but  indulged  occasionally  and  mostly  at  home,  not  the  type  to  frequent  places  like  this,  but  he  had  gotten  a  hit. Seven  could  barely  hear  her  over  the  voices  filtering  through  his  head  –  looking  for  one  specifically,  but  the  bar  was  packed,  making  it  all  the  more  difficult. Seven  glances  up  when  he  realized  she  was  speaking  to  him  –  zoning  in  on  her  and  quieting  down  his  head. "no,"  he  says. "hardly  a  rough  day."  seven  doesn't  offer  any  other  information  than  that. A  man  of  few  words. "i  will  take  a  vodka  soda."  a  pause. "unless  you  have  a  better  recommendation."

♡          — “ oh ? well good you for , i guess. ” auggie replied. doing her best to listen closely over all the noise so she could hear his order , she nodded slowly. “ mhm , very regular. ” though , when he mentioned what she might recommend , she flashed a dimpled grin. “ i mean , i would have recommended something more fun like a cocktail with a tiny umbrella in it but truly , whatever you want , your wish is my command. ” a wink accompanying her words before she nabbed a glass from her side of the bar to begin making his drink. her eyes were quick to assess him , as they were with anyone. the eyes of a thief , catching glimpses of a nice watch and finer fabrics. there was a certain neatness to most wealthy people , one auggie lacked herself , for obvious reasons. “ i've never seen you around here before ” slowly , she slid the glass across the table toward him. “ new to the city of something ? ” she was sure he probably wasn't , she was just fishing for more information.

she lets out a few snickers before waving a hand dismissively,   ❛❛ oh trust me, flies are gourmet in terms of insects you could willingly or unwillingly consume. ❜❜  

  seconds later auggie fell silent as a thought entered her mind. “ you know what … ” she began , turning to fumi , disbelief in her eyes. “ i met this witchy-looking girl at the club the other night and we went back to her house after … ” eyebrows furrowed as she thought a little harder. “ i never called after i snuck out the next morning … shit , do you think she put a curse on me ? i swear i saw an altar in her apartment. ” there were suddenly alarm bells going off in her head. “ look me in the eyes , fumi ! am i cursed ? ”

And right now was no exception. Instantaneously his arm extends, reaching out to offer his new feline companion some pets. "That's okay I don't mind the cat hair. Besides he's too cute to shove." Now the demon's attention turns to the bartender, his aura uncharacteristically friendly. She must be very lucky, catching him in a good moment. "What's his name? And what's yours?"

  “ he doesn't really have one because i kind of just acquired him through the cat distrubution system but i call him fat-cat , but honestly he responds to anything. he's like , almost feral but we have that in common. ” the bartender joked , leaning her forearms on the bar as she thought back to when the chunky feline forced his way into her life. “ i'm auggie , welcome to my bar~ and you are ? ”
