- vincent watches tv all night at a volume just loud enough to be annoying and hard to fall asleep to

- lucifer is the worlds worst blanket and pillow hog, he also often sprawls out and takes up most of the bed in his sleep

- vincent snores unbelievably loud

- alastor likes to stay up all night reading by candlelight cause he thinks it’s a less harsh and dimmer light source so it won’t bother them, except he has like 5 big candles lit which defeats the purpose of a dimmer light

- if alastor wakes up super early or is woken up by the others, everyone has to be awake and he will purposely keep them all awake by subtle means

- vincent cannot remember to close cabinets or the fridge or really any door

- alastor hogs all the storage space, closet, bookshelves, drawers, you name it and he has overtaken it, his stuff is just cluttered absolutely everywhere

- lucifer won’t leave the ac alone and will keep the house ridiculously cold or hot and claims it’s the perfect temp

- they all take ridiculously long times in the bathroom for showers, getting ready, morning/night routines, every one of them has something they take far longer than necessary for

- vincent is a total tv hog and lucifer is always trying to fight for his ability to use it

the first time it happened alastor was confused cause he was so sure he was coming off as affectionate towards vincent, so he tried to keep going and got even more teasing, but vincent just looked like a kicked puppy, and alastor was absolutely shocked when he finally realized his narcissistic god complex having vincent could have insecurities and that he was pushing on every one of them

lucifer is always slowly but surely breaking down adam’s walls even though he doesn’t expect adam to ever feel safe enough being romantic, he’s patient and he can see through adam’s defenses

but alastor is also smart enough to know that vox’s alpha pheromones are fake, he can still smell the underlying omega scent from vox, but he plays along and “insults” vox (hes still repulsed even by the fake alpha pheromones) but he keeps it a slight bit lighter than he would for an actual alpha to not totally push away vox

Alastors decades were actually more queer friendly than the 1950s. Speakeasies and the prohibition Era were filled with a lot of queer community and while it was still outward rejected and seen as an issue by society, it wasn't nearly as attacked as it was in the 1950s when the Hays code was in effect along with McCarthyism and there were psych wards lobotomizing gay people.

In fact, there are movies from the 1920s that were queer focused that I only first heard about from an Elder Transgender Woman I'm friends with. History Channel ( https://www.history.com/articles/gay-culture-roaring-twenties-prohibition) also cites that there were even Queer balls that caught on for a while until things like the Hays Code took over + stock market crash (in times of insecurity like a stock market crash people tended to cling on to "traditional" ideas in an effort to maintain some idea of stability).

And with Alcohol being prohibited and speakeasies bringing unfiltered mixes of people together people had to be more open or at least tolerable to things because otherwise it got everyone's alcohol taken away. Likely one of the few times in our history people did fairly well on a group project. So there were all sorts of mixes of people.

Basically I'm saying Alastor would likely be more accepting and apt to accept Vincent's attraction to him and any he has in return. Alastor likely was in the speakeasie scene in the 20s based on the scene with Mimzy and in the early 1900s red ties were a sleeper code to indicate being queer, which Alastor wears. I'm not sure if the writers kept that in mind or not but it's one of the things that kind of fell into place. So there's a lot both historically and some in-show to suggest Alastor would actually be the accepting one of the two of them. He likely was around a lot of Queer folks even if he didn't identify as one himself, and since he does seem to have a "root for the underdog" kind of mentality he likely wouldn't have hated them either.

Alastors real disgust with his feelings would more likely be that he feels them for an arrogant white man lol. Not because it's a man.

Vincent, however, being a product of the 30s in teen/young adulthood, then the 40s and 50s, would've had a much harder him with homophobia and his internal and externalization of that. So Vincent would be the one being hot and cold and panicking at every point and would refuse to label it (like he does still with Val).

So yeah that's my little mini queer history info dump from a queer Transman who likes hanging with the elders 😊😁

that’s actually very fascinating, i forgot that would’ve been around the same time as all that, im bad at dates and never put too much thought into things lmao but that makes lots of sense actually

they both lived in times where being gay was the worst thing ever (especially alastor)

so when they meet irl and are experiencing feelings that are entirely unheard of to them towards each other they don’t know how to face it whatsoever

alastor would have an easier time understanding what he was feeling towards vox but would still feel disgusted by it, even though he already knows worse perils of being a very looked down upon minority in that time period

vox would be absolutely disgusting by the concept of being so far outside the norm though, vox would have a million mental breakdowns and somehow end up being soothed by alastor after every one

they eventually get together but still struggle to call it a relationship and even worse when anyone else notices how close they are, they are nothing but paranoid, scared and full of self hatred, which leads to some amount of animosity between them too because neither one can accept how they feel about eachother
