you have to also love fat people who can't perform feats of physical prowess or impressive athletics. you have to also love fat people whose fatness is unpalatable and unfashionable. or i'll kill you. i'll fucking kill you.
you do not love fat people if the only love of fatness you can muster is for off-season bodybuilders
escaped medical leech
There are medical leeches!?
Yes! They work very hard to get their medical degrees.Ā
not this one, though. this oneās trying to ditch class.Ā
what was the class, color theory?
WHY THE HIFL WOULD YOU HIDE THIS IN THE TAGS!?
Also important to note theyāre not random leaches found outside obviously. Theyāre āsterileā or as sterile as an animal can be, bred in specific environments and kept clean in the lab.
except this one, which is escaping

children's movies love to set up parents and guardians as being cruel and unreasonable up until the child character is instructed by a third party to apologize or tell the truth or confess some kind of secret about themselves, and then all of a sudden the parental figure will learn empathy be like "wow... I didn't know you felt that way... don't worry, I'll always love you". and it really set some unrealistic expectations for me as a kid, where when I tried to follow that script irl I ended up getting told something more along the lines of "wow... you're really manipulative and spoiled... do you want me to apologize or something? I won't. it's your fault if you decided to feel 'unloved' or something. and if you don't start following my demands perfectly soon, you're going to ruin your life beyond repair and never be happy again. so consider that :)"
basically I think more movies should end with the parental figures continuing to be unreasonable instead of having a sudden and unrealistic change of heart, and then I think their kid should kill them. mhm. this would be good to teach kids what their backup options are if their attempts at diplomacy fail, and it'd be good as a cautionary tale for parents. I see no problems with this.

This is the first time in my life when it's actually fair to criticize the President for gas prices. I've spent so many years explaining to people that Presidents have pretty limited influence over the price of oil and that they do not have a magical lower-gas-prices button on their desk, I almost forgot that the President does actually have a raise-gas-prices button on their desk called "start a war with Iran for no reason"

The worst thing that ever happened to LGBT+ discussions was the attempt at creating rigid definitions for diverse experiences that often exist on a sliding scale, or are fluid. Some lesbians experience attraction to men. Some gay men, who were forced to marry women for their own safety, did really love their wives.Ā Some people are man and woman at the same time. Your gender identity and sexual orientation can change over time. In the 70s it was common knowledge that bi women could also be lesbians. Some people defy categorization just by their existence. Some people choose to reject categorization.
can someone explain how a lesbian can be attracted to men????? i really dont get it
In this line of thinking ālesbianā isnāt an objective pseudo-taxonomic category - itās a label that people choose to use. Both lines of thinking are valuable, but I think the latter is a lot more useful for community building.
When we view ālesbianā as an opt-in label, rather than a category that one is born into, the main question that pops up is āwhy do people use this label?ā The answer varies, but for most itās due to an attraction to women and a lack of attraction to men.
However, āwomanā and āmanā are categories with a lot of variation within themselves, and very few people can say with 100% certainty that they will never experience attraction to one or the other. If a woman has only been attracted to women her whole life and has joined communities centered around this attraction and has advocated for the rights of WLW, is her lesbian identity negated if she (knowing full well that heās male) finds a male crossdresser hot? What if sheās sexually attracted to a few men, but could never be in a stable relationship with one, so she only dates women?
Labels like this need wiggle-room. If they donāt allow for some fluidity of experience, only a fraction of a fraction of people would ever find them useful, and the communities built around them would be small, weak, and isolated, and full of nothing but echos.
The older I get, the more I fall on the side of, āThatās her business, itās not hurting me.ā
And it doesnāt. No, it really doesnāt hurt me because āthat will make men think that they can convert lesbians.ā The men who think that will already think that, and itās not up to a random person to perform lesbianism (or transness, or⦠) ācorrectly.ā That just makes this identity as much of a prison as standard-issue heterosexuality, and no thank you, actually!
As ever:
