Weekly Tarot Reading (May 18-24):
Ace of Swords & The World
Thing are coming together this week: the truth is being revealed to us. There is a Higher Knowing that comes through for us to trust. This is a stabilizing, balancing energy that will be much appreciated in this time of big change.

My favorite Rider-Waite clone.
Reads nicely with its little brother, Dreaming Way Lenormand.
what is the foolās journey?
hello, all! iām glad youāre here today. today, iād like to go over what the foolās journey is in relation to tarot. if that interests you or you feel called to continue reading, please do so! š®āØ
overview
although not all tarot readers view the major arcana as the foolās journey, many interpreters do. to these readers, the major arcana represents the many various stages in an individualās journey to inner growth and enlightenment.Ā
from this view point, the major arcana cards are like markers on your personal journey, beginning with the fool (card 0) and ending with the world (card 21). in this way, the fool is the earliest bit of awareness and the world represents enlightenment and fulfillment.Ā
however, thatās not to say that youāll experience these markers in order, from 0 to 21 ā youāll likely experience them out of order. the foolās journey shows us that fulfillment and enlightenment are out destiny ā the end goal ā and that weāll eventually realize our true purpose.Ā
now letās jump into the foolās journey!
the fool ā 0
the fool is very representative of beginners and beginnings. we know the fool is a simple soul. still, he has the naive, innocent faith to make the decision to take this journey. when he begins the journey, heās like a newborn: anxious and freshly exposed to the world, but still ready to embrace anything. we can see this from the typical fool card itself. we see the fool looking forward to the future, full of hope and excitement, but at the same time, heās on a cliffās edge and is thus unaware of the challenges heāll face.Ā
the magician + high priestess ā 1 + 2
after he begins his journey, the first two characters he encounters are the magician and the high priestess. they act as the balancing forces that make up the world as the fool and others like him see it. the magician is more of a positive force, representing our conscious awareness that allows us to affect the world through our own power and concentration of will. opposite the magician is the high priestess, who symbolizes more of a negative force. sheās our mysterious unconscious ā the unrealized potential in all of us.
the empress ā 3
the fool gets a little older and a little wiser. heās now more aware of his surroundings. here, he meets the empress who can be thought of as a mother figure. she represents nature and sensation.
the emperor ā 4
the next person the fool sees is his father figure, the emperor. the emperor symbolizes authority and structure. through this father figure, the fool experiences rules. he finds them to be frustrating of course, but through the emperor, he learns that sometimes theyāre necessary and begins to understand the purpose of rules a little more.Ā
the hierophant ā 5
after visiting with his mother and father figures, the fool leaves home to continue his journey through formal education. he nexts encounters the hierophant, representative of organized belief systems. the fool is more aware of world views and can understand knowledge. he becomes intertwined with culture and starts to identify with a group, which gives him a sense of belonging. as such, the fool enjoys showing just how well he can conform to society.Ā
the lovers ā 6
like many people, the fool eventually faces strong sexual desires. this is a pretty significant change because in the past, he was only focused on himself. now, he wants a partner. the lovers represent balance. the fool needs to figure out what his beliefs are, so he begins to questions the worldview and received opinion.Ā
the chariot ā 7
now, we can consider the fool as an adult. he has a strong identity thatās all his own. he triumphs thanks to discipline and willpower. we can think of the chariot as the foolās ego. heās in control of himself and proud of it. the foolās success is all he might want ā for the moment.Ā
strength ā 8
however, life throws new challenges in the foolās way. suffering and disappointment become clear and forces the fool to develop his resolve. he also discovers both patience and tolerance at this stage.Ā
the hermit ā 9
the fool is consumed by his own quest for answers. this is represented by the hermit ā the need to find deeper, more meaningful truth. instead of looking out, the fool begins to look inside himself. he wants solitude away from society and might even look for a teacher to help during this part of his journey.
wheel of fortune ā 10
as time goes on, the fools starts to see how everything is interconnected. the wheel of fortune is like the mysterious universe weāre all a part of, in which the parts work in harmony toward the whole, progressing it forward. the fool might realize all the events that led him to this turning point. after reflecting on this, heās ready for action and his sense of purpose and destiny has been restored.Ā
justice ā 11
the fool begins to reminisce on his past. he can see the cause-and-effect moments that brought him to this point in his life. he can now take responsibility for past actions ā good and bad ā during his life. the fool might now make amends for the bad. for the slate to be wiped clean, justice has to be served.
the hanged man ā 12
the hanged man represents a personal cross, and the fool encounters his during this period. itās an experience that seems too difficult to endure. this is when the fool gives up and lets go. heās defeated. heās lost. but even through these difficulties, he discovers a beautiful truth: by giving up his control, everything works out. the fool is open and vulnerable and he seems martyred. but in reality, heās actually at peace with the events that have occurred.Ā
death ā 13
the fool is ready for a big change. he cuts out his old bad habits and removes all the non-essentials in his life. he begins to just appreciate the basics. this is the death of his old self and the birth of his new self. although the change seems to break him, he rises. this helps him transition to a more fulfilling life.Ā
temperance ā 14
here, the fool realizes the need for balance, especially when it comes to the stability of temperance. he finds equilibrium. because heās experienced extremes, he becomes happy to enjoy moderation.Ā
the devil ā 15
at this point, the fool is face-to-face with the devil himself. the devil is representative of the ignorance and hopelessness inside all of us. heās also a symbol of materialism. the price of this ignorance and hopelessness is simple: itās despair.
the tower ā 16
so, how will the fool escape the devil? the tower. this is his release, through sudden change. the tower is like a fortress of our own egos. although it seems to protect us, itās really more like a prison. sometimes, itās only when a monumental crisis occurs that the walls of our tower can break. this revelation makes the painful change worthwhile.Ā
the star ā 17
the fool experiences serene calm. the star is a beacon of hope and inspiration. the fool has trust that replaces the sheer negativity of the devil. he feels joyous and wants to share this joy with the rest of the world.
the moon ā 18
but this bliss that the fool experiences makes him vulnerable again ā vulnerable this time to the illusions of the moon. here, heās susceptible to false truths and fantasy. the moon does inspire creative imagination through bizarre and beautiful thoughts. however, anxiety creeps in too. the fool might feel lost again.
the sun ā 19
the sun gives the fool lucid clarity. the fool again feels the goodness of the world. the sun symbolizes vibrant enthusiasm and energy. no challenge seems too daunting to the fool now and he can realize his greatness now.
judgement ā 20
finally, we see the rebirth of the fool. at lifeās center, he sees joy, not fear. because of this, he feels absolved. here, he doesnāt just forgive himself, but others too. here, he makes a deeper judgement about his life. the fool realizes the reason that heās entered this life.
the world ā 21
because heās realized his true purpose, he reenters the world. he uses all his parts to become whole. heās actively involved in the world for good. through this journey, heās realized his place in the world. even though the cycle has ended, he never stops growing.

(1/6) Hey, so I have a question regarding this really odd/unnerving dream that's been popping up lately.... I was with these two cousins (One boy, one girl; Both had light brown hair and these green sweater turtleneck things) and we visited a government power plant or something. It was mostly grey; with a couple flat, plain buildings and a cement ground with those metal fences you normally see around schools and parks and stuff. There were guards everywhere, and so we left.
hello, anon! sorry this took me a hot minute to read + interpret! i posted my interpretation as a text post for youĀ š i hope it helps and i LOVED reading all the details of your dream. iām shook that you remembered so much! thanks for sharing!!

i got an anon ask to interpret a dream with LOTS of details so i figured iād post their ask here since it was multi-part!Ā š
āHey, so I have a question regarding this really odd/unnerving dream that's been popping up lately....
We're suddenly in this abandoned school (That looked like it was straight out of the Otherworld in Silent Hill) and go out to hunt demons, and we arrive in this one classroom by the home ec. classroom or something,, and I look around and it's on the second floor, and everything seems to be pinkish-blue and nearing evening. A nice sight.
Well I turn back around and the girl cousin is really soft-spoken and whispery and has a cute voice ā She was talking to the male cousin about something (I forgot what) before she suddenly kisses him and I just go "Wait, you're cousins!! Stop, that's gross!!" (I think they might have been under the influence of a demon but my memory is hazy) And so I run out of the classroom.
Anyways, I shoot a few demons and walk outside and I either went to the outside streets of a city (New York and Tokyo are the two places that come to mind) or I go straight to the powerplant/government building, but either way. It's completely dead empty. The guards had vanished so I walked in, and around this time I realise that the apocalypse is happening/has blown through and all the humans are dead. There were a lot of demons which had taken human form and were wandering around.
So I walk into the government buildings, everything is white and bricky and grey like usual, and there's this huge generator (It actually looked a lot like the Yamato Reactor from SMT IV) in an open space and this demoness dressed in black who I stared at for a while and I think we talked a bit,,, I don't remember what we said but I end up activating the generator, and then she just vanishes. So I go out again, and everyone is gone. I'm the only person left on Earth now.
(I think, unless those two unnerving cousins were around which I doubt), and after walking around the concrete and asking if there are any demons around, the dream just ends with me embracing that I'm the only person left in the entire world and staring at the deserty-like meadow that surrounded the government building/power plant as evening sets in. The entire dream felt a bit cryptic starting out, but eventually just grew to be a feeling that was immensely unnervingly sad and lonely.ā
***
WOW! so let me start off by saying iām very impressed with how many details you recalled from this dream. i pulled out a few details that seem important to me in order to interpret this one.
so first of all, the apocalyptic theme: generally speaking, when people dream of the apocalypse happening, it means theyāre going through a transitional period (or are about to). maybe big changes are headed your way or already have and youāre grappling with them.Ā
the incest part also stood out to me. in dreams, if youāre the one in an incestuous relationship, it usually means youāre in need of improving a familial relationship. since this was an incestuous relationship between two people you didnāt know and it happened during this apocalyptic time, i took it to mean that there will be obstacles as you progress/experience these changes, but youāll just need to keep your head up and keep moving forward.
the demons can mean a few things. most commonly, fear. however, seeing demons in your dreams can also symbolize negative habits, similar to the meaning of the incestuous cousins: youāre going through changes and progressing, but there are distractions along the way (like these negative habits). donāt give this habits too much energy as you progress.Ā
finally, the fact that youāre all alone. this usually means youāre worried about something. whatever youāre worried about, itās seeping into your dreams. given the rest of your dream, perhaps this is a warning as you progress and go through changes.Ā
the bottom line? keep your head up and donāt get distracted as you navigate this transitional period of your life. i hope this helps! xxx
manifestation happens when we choose to trust in the power of the divine. you donāt need to know who, what, when, where, or how the blessing will occur ā you only need to trust in the promise you are given. choose to believe, even when it goes against all logic. thatās when magic happens. āØš¦
āØDaily Affirmation āØ
āI am in the process of a positive change in my lifeā
in order to experience growth, you need to be planted in the right environment. throw a seed on the pavement and it will sit there for years, getting stepped on and thrown aside. plant a seed in spoiled soil and it may never get the chance to grow. neglect to water the seed and it will grow slow and shrivel easy. in order to grow, we need to be planted in an environment that honors our needs and cultivates our potential. youāre not broken, youāre not hopeless, youāre not failing ā youāre just not in the right environment.Ā
š¤ Dream Symbolism: Snakes š¤
(Side Note: I am personally very creeped out by snakes and they appear in my dreams A LOT)
š Generally, snakes often symbolize fear and transition when they appear in dreams. The more precise meaning of snakes within a dream depends on where their actions, the dreamerās feelings about them, and the people involved in the dream.
š Dreaming about being bitten by a snake or someone else being bitten by a snake can symbolize toxic relationships or harmful situations. These situations and relationships may be ones that the dreamer is ignoring, be it consciously or unconsciously. Dreams where someone is bitten on the leg or foot signifies impending change.
š Dreaming of a snake or snakes in the dreamerās bed or home can be an indication of domestic unrest, such as family quarrels or trouble with a landlord. Snakes can also appear in dreams during moves from one home to another.
š If a dreamer dreams that they are trying to escape a snake or being chased by one, they likely have something unpleasant that they are trying to avoid. This kind of dream can also be an indication of personal suppression, such as the inability or unwillingness to speak up in a situation.
š Dead snakes in dreams are typically positive signs. A dead snake represents defeated or soon-to-be defeated negative influences or enemies. Killing a snake in oneās dream can be positive or negative, depending upon the emotions it accompanies. If the dreamer feels relief after killing a snake in a dream, it means that problems that have been weighing on them will soon be resolved and they will be unburdened. If, however, the dreamer feels guilt after killing a snake in the dream state it symbolizes an unresolved or ignored struggle that the dreamer needs to overcome or deal with head on.
š Dreaming of many snakes at once is said to be an indication of abundance. This abundance can come in the form of wealth, energy, or wisdom. If the dreamer happens to be afraid of snakes, the presence of many snakes represents a feeling of being overwhelmed.
š Two headed snakes in dreams represent duality and the feeling of being torn in two different directions. The dreamer may be struggling with a decision or may be exploring a different path.
š Boa Constrictors or snakes that encircle the dreamer are a symbol of repression. The dreamer may feel suffocated by unfinished tasks, expectations, or doubt.

How to level up your affirmations
Yes, affirmations can be a great tool.Ā However, you have to know how to use them correctly.Ā Mindless repeating leads nowhere. There are some things you must do to activate your affirmations. Remember that your affirmations have to enter the subconscious mind.
Always state your affirmations in the present tense.Ā Donāt use Iām going to or I will, use words that refer to the present moment. Also, avoid I want.Ā Instead, use statements such as I have, or even better I am.
Activate positive emotions.Ā Emotion is energy in emotion.Ā Emotion is what creates your reality, so every affirmation must be connected with an appropriate feeling.Ā If you say I love and am loved, but you donāt feel like youāre surrounded by love, this affirmation is not going to have much impact on your life.
Record your affirmations and listen to them on repeat.Ā Hearing your own voice repeating the affirmations will help convince your subconscious mind that it is the truth, that it is the current reality.Ā Also, listen to your affirmations while drifting off to sleep. This is the time of the theta brainwaves, and during this state, the subconscious mind is like a sponge and absorbs everything easier.Ā
Say your affirmations in front of the mirror.Ā Sounds weird, I know, but there is a direct connection between you and your subconscious mind whenever you do this. Make sure to look directly into your eyes and be confident.
Write them out in a journal.Ā Make a habit of rewriting your affirmations every morning.Ā This will help your subconscious to remember them automatically.Ā The subconscious mind is like a computer, so you just have to create a new program.
Repeat them in your head.Ā When youāre driving, running, cooking, etc. use this time to your advantage. We often harm ourselves with negative self-talk during our everyday activities, so being conscious of your affirmations is going to help you control your thinking patterns.
And thatās it, just remember that it is going to be a gradual process.Ā It usually takes about 21- 60 days to reprogram your mind and create new beliefs.Ā But trust me, itās worth it!
If you ever want to chat about this stuff or hear more about my experience with spirits let me and I'll message you off anon! (:
i would absolutely LOVE to, if you donāt mind!!! please message me if youāre comfortableĀ š

Daily divination for wk 20/52. Beginning my second full wk in my new town, new state, new home. So blessed & grateful for a fresh start. I donāt know a single soul here. Taking each day as it comes āØ
Thank you! This has shed some light onto him appearing in my dreams. One theory I have as to why I can't hear him is since I don't remember his voice I can't hear him. And as a musician that's probably the hardest part because I rely so much on my ears and hearing. Well that and since I was so young I don't have my own memories. And yes I am very familiar with spirits and hauntings. There was one time I was home alone and I saw him walk down the hall while I was changing sleep positions.
iām so gladĀ ā¤ļøthatās an interesting theory. in fact, everything youāve said has proved interesting to me!! iām so glad you reached out today.Ā
