“Got bored from hiding or doing whatever you usually do in this time of the year?”

“Unless you’re helping me in anyway on getting smashed -- piss off, will you?”

“Uh,” It wasn’t that he was nervous about the thought of someone coming to his aid with little more information at their fingertips than a batch of magazines. She seemed sweet enough, and he was sure she could help anyone with any ailment. But his mother, were she alive, would have his head for burdening a guest with his well being. “Oh, no, I couldn’t impose on you for anything. I’m fine, really, I promise.“ 

“It wouldn’t be any trouble for me at all!” The words easily came out in the open. If she couldn’t get any more obvious with her eagerness to help, she was practically bouncing on her feet -- itching to get started. “I’d be a lot happier knowing that you’ll definitely get better!” And now that she thought about it, if this could result in a broken heart being healed, that’d be great! It’d kill two birds in one stone!

Despite knowing that the young girl was replacing him for the evening, Pierre did his best to be polite, and remain unassuming. Misplacing his ill feelings towards his father for having to be around for the performance on a stranger wouldn’t do him any good. Nor would it make sense for him to be jealous or anything, seeing as he had wanted Michel to perform with someone else - anyone else - to avoid being compared anymore.

However, amethyst eyes focused her attention on the young boy before her and how... curiously similar he looked in comparison to Michel. A... whole lot like him, now that she’s properly looking at his face. How did she not notice the resemblance earlier? “Um.. Are you Michel’s brother?”

“Well, if that weakling’s not here, how about you entertain me instead?” Idate took a step closer towards the other, amused by the fear in his eyes at the mention of Shirogane. His boredom still needed to be satisfied and while bullying the wolf was his usual option, he wondered if his bird friend would be just as fun to toy with. Come to think of it, he’d never tasted owl before. 

“I...need to go now, I’m sorry.” With one step forward from the orca, Yukisada took two steps backwards in response. His eyes completely focused in on Idate’s movements. The moment he decided to strike would be the time Yukisada planned to transform into his animal form and fly off. No matter how strong or fast he may be, surely he wouldn’t be able to pin him down so easily once he’s in the air, right?

The truth of the matter was, “I don’t know how.” As a Duke, he’d had all of his medical issues, which were very slim to begin with, seen to by professionals. As a big brother, he’d only had to deal with the occasional cold that Ada sometimes came down with. When it came to how to manage his own health, well, he didn’t have a clue. “It never really mattered before.”

With that explanation in mind, she pointed towards herself. A huge smile was on her face in attempt to reassure him. “I’ve read lots of magazines about this sort of thing! I can help!”

“Well, if it isn’t the wimpy wolf’s chicken friend. Where’d he go today? I wasn’t done playing with him, you know.” He took a drag of his cigarette and grinned, revealing rows of sharp teeth amidst the cloud of smoke he exhaled. “Did he finally find a hole to curl up and die in?” 

‘I wasn’t done playing with him’ -- those words caused a wave of dread to reverberate within his very being. Yukisada wouldn’t be able to answer his question though, as he had been looking for Shirogane this whole time after his fragile self-confidence plummeted into abysmal levels once again. This whole time while he was looking for him, he might’ve -- “...What did you do to him?”
