I challenged my skill this year on the Somass River, catching spring and coho salmon using the Amundson Outdoor Products Ltd. TCPX-3 centerpin reel and their Cast Mob float rod. With a 1/1 ratio retrieve, and the only break is the angler's palm. There were a few instances in which I was not fast enough and got my knuckles rapped hard, but I prevailed.
