Good new and bad The good news. A small window opened up for fishing at French Creek. High winds are approaching, expected to reach 20 km by noon. I had the opportunity to get out with Dave Jenkins of Eagle Tree Adventures. We were on the water at 11 am and had nonstop action for 1 1/2 hours, then got blown off with the winds and waves. Eleven hook-ups, 6 landed on the boat, and we kept our four. The bad News I was trying to remove the hook from the last salmon, and a wave hit, the salmon jumped, and the hook went through my finger, from one side to the other. Karen, my wife ( nurse ), said that the veins are on both sides of the finger, and that's why there was a lot of blood spurting.
Paper towels and black electric tape wrapped tightly till I got home.
The good news. A pharmacy can give tetanus shots. Overdue by 30 years.
We had both rods with WiggleFin Tackle LLC dodgers and there small white hootchies. Both downrigger balls had the WiggleFin Tackle LLC swarm flashers. The Amundson Outdoor Products Ltd. TMX5 SE was an amazing match up to their TMX Mooching Rod. Trolling at a depth of 120 feet.
