Yay is having Mary Winchester back. Nay is having that rich Brit who abandoned her son in another country just to hunt down another Legacy for the top branch Legacy book club. Double Nay is the reaction from half the fans about Mary being back to force Dean in a relationship with Castiel.

Y'all have got to stop now. If it happens, it happens. If it don’t, then it don’t. There’s such thing as a limit, and some people who are hardcore shipping have crossed that line. Look, I get it, it’s fun to imagine. But I’ve found some posts about Destiel & Mary that it’s starting to get to me. If Dean and Cas see each other as brothers, it’s fine. If there’s something more, fine.

Like I said before, if it happens, it happens. If it doesn't, it doesn't.

And since this is America, we have a freedom of speech. If Samantha (first actor for Mary Winchester) doesn't see the Destiel become fact in the story plot, then that's her opinion and a fair opinion. Everyone should have opinions, especially about fictional pairings.

However I was disgusted at the amount of animosity on Twitter seeing some fans who turned on the actress because she "doesn't support homosexuality", apparently.

That's not what it means when a person doesn't support a suggested fan ship within a created work of story plot.

Samantha has been a very good supporter of many things and I do see her supporting LGBT. Just because she doesn't support a fictional pairing does NOT mean she doesn't support homosexuality.

You guys... everyone can have opinions but that doesn't give people the right to personally slander other people for their opinion and it DEFINITELY does NOT give them the right to twist their words into weird subtle context that was never there in the first place.

Besides, Destiel hasn't even been confirmed, just brothers from the Winchesters' perspective in the last ep of Season 11. Would I like to have them be together? SURE. Would they be together? I DON'T KNOW. Maybe, maybe not.

If it's not, then it's fine. As long as the plot flow doesn't suffer, I am okay with whatever comes into Supernatural.

Just please, guys, don't twist people's words and don't abuse the word "subtext". Subtext is in a story plot, but it depends on where it is and what is actually planned and taken into. Don't abuse this word until it no longer has its actual definition in the dictionary.

- A beautiful reunion for the boys and their mom.

- Sam actually gets to meet his mom. Not a Mary that didn’t know about Sam’s existence.

- PIE!!! (Dean’s love of pie stems from Mary)

- Mary meeting Castiel, and LOVING him like a son!!!!!

- The possibility of John coming back.

She was 29 when she died. Twenty-nine. Dean is 10 years older than her at this point. Mary is still in her prime. She’s so much younger than the boys, shit.

We only have a few hints of what her life was like the 10 years post-demon deal, but I wonder if she found married life lacking. As much as she wanted it, I wonder if the urge to hunt still struck her every now and then. I wonder if she kept herself in shape for it too. Did she go for runs like Sam? I wanna see Mary and Sam’s morning runs, OK. 

I mean, this is the woman who almost held her own against an angel. She’s super talented. I wonder what she’ll teach the boys.

and there’s this tidbit from the Supernatural Wikia: “…she bought an angel figurine to place in Dean’s nursery and told him ‘angels are watching over you’ every night when she put him to sleep — these were in fact her last words to Dean.” (Dean introducing Cas like, “this is my bff Cas. An angel. Who watches over me.”)

She came from one of the few hunter families that we’ve met. Which means she probably knows a ton more lore than any other hunter. Plus the Campbells had connections with the Men of Letters, so Samuel Campbell may had access to history and lore that no other hunter family had. He knew about the vampire cure, after all. What else was he hiding? What does Mary know?

If she knows a lot, can you imagine how she can even the fight with the British chapter of the MoL?

And shit, considering she didn’t like John until a cupid made them fall in love, now she can live her life without heavenly intervention. Also, the Mary Winchester we’ve met is Mary Winchester, post-manipulation by angels. Who is the real Mary Winchester? What if she never really wanted a normal life? What if she didn’t want that until a cupid dinged her with an arrow? Which leads me to the next point:

She came from a family that more-or-less lived a “normal” life aside from being hunters. Which is what our boys are trying to discover for themselves, and Mary may know how to balance that, since she’s lived it.

God, the guilt Mary is going to feel. Her demon deal is the catalyst to what led the boys into the hunting life. Just imagine how torn up she might be up about that… And then how proud she’ll be, seeing that they are more-or-less alright. (Though what they did to get there… Damn, that’ll be a long story.)

Also, imagine Mary Winchester getting used to modern tech. She’s going to be so overwhelmed, and it might be just too precious to watch. (Cas can teach her about texting and emojis!!!)

Also imagine Mary Winchester kicking ass, taking names, but also being amused by Dean’s neat-freak tendencies and Sam’s head always being buried in a book or Mary and Cas watching television. (GIVE ME THESE SCENES, DABB.)

Mary was 29 when she died.

Sam is 46 (turning 47 in the Fall when SPN comes back on).

It makes way more sense for them to bring back Amy to play Mary again, because Amy IS Mary’s age. Dean and Sam both lived to be older than their mother ever was.

It makes NO SENSE for her to be so much older than what she was when she died.

Mary died before she was 30. Sam is almost 50.
