I pitied myself until I realized I lost someone who could not love me and he lost someone who loved him far more than he deserved.

I learnt that goodbye sometimes means ‘I love you, but I need to leave before we tear each other’s fucking throats out’.

You never know what someone is going through. From the surface everything might appear to be fine but it’s only skin deep. You cannot downplay someone’s struggle based on what you see from the outside looking in. You cannot devalue someone’s suffering. You cannot tell someone how to feel.

When you realize that someone’s mistreatment of you was about their pain, and not you, it gives you the freedom to heal.

I never want to love someone like that…so much that there would be no room left for myself,so much that I wouldn’t be able to survive if [they] left me.

If you have been brutally broken, but still have the courage to be gentle to others then you deserve a love deeper than the ocean itself.

Not everything is supposed to become something beautiful and long-lasting. Sometimes people come into your life to show you what is right and what is wrong, to show you who you can be, to teach you to love yourself, to make you feel better for a little while, or to just be someone to walk with at night and spill your life to. Not everyone is going to stay forever, and we still have to keep on going and thank them for what they’ve given us. —

Relationships are tough, but no matter how tough things get, I’ll see you. I’ll see your blue eyes and the way your hair falls to the side and the way you look at me and I’ll know everything is worth it, because I still have you.

To be able to say: I loved this person, we had a hell of a nice time together, it’s over but in a way it will never be over and I do know that I for sure loved this person, to be able to say that and mean it, that’s rare…That’s rare and valuable.
