“My entire family’s been the center of rumors my whole life, and we’re a big family. Being the weird, quiet bystander was preferable.” Athena shrugged. “And my sisters are definitely the prettier ones, but um…thanks.” She added, slightly flushed. It wasn’t something she heard much outside the family.

“Weird is always a good thing,” He pointed out with an easy shrug of his shoulders. He actually found it interesting. “I’m sure they are pretty, but probably not prettier.”

“It’s totally a part of it. I kinda like being a bystander for that, if nothing else.”

“I can’t imagine you being a bystander with your beauty, but it is nice to be able to quietly enjoy life without having to be the center of attention constantly.”

“I guess it’s probably that way for most people.”

“It probably honestly is. But I think it’s what makes it fun.”

“Oh yeah, I like telling the stories too though. Most of my family never remembers all the details so reminding them of stuff they did and watching them look horrified is pretty great.”

“I’m sure that the looks are worth it though. I know if some of my stories were told that way I would have the same ones.”

“I’m usually more of an outside observer, actually, but the stories are usually worth hearing.”

“It’s always more entertaining to hear the stories as an observer.”

“Just a big family. Never a dull moment.”

“I can only imagine what that’s like but at least you’re never bored.”

“I don’t know anyone who actually has. Which is probably for the best, at least with my family.”

“Entertaining family I take it?”

“That seems to be the phrase, anyway. Not that anyone I know ever lives by it.”

“It’s a boring way to live though if they did,”

“There’s a couple places. If you like burgers or breakfast food, at least.”

“I mean beggers can’t be choosers now can they?”
