I feel like this got overshadowed by everything else wrong with the sequels but why on earth did the writers see han and leia, a couple everyone’s been rooting for for the past half a century give or take, and think “what if they were fucking divorced and not speaking to each other for nearly the entire movie”
did anyone want to see that. when we could have gotten han and leia: unstoppable middle aged power couple. you could still do all the kylo ren bullshit (you shouldn’t, but you could), just have them unite to stop him instead of the situation breaking them up.
#yeah agreed#i mean i get that they were trying to be realistic that their personalities would bump heads#making it hard for their relationship to last - but the key word is Hard not impossible#people change and become better people in relationships and the hard parts still could’ve made kylo the way he was#(suceptible to the dark side of the force) while han and leía still could’ve grown together#and unite to help their son back to the light#but yeah anyways i guess Pain was more interesting or something 🙄#sequels#hanleia
