action looks like it might be a lot better this season, seems to be a bigger scale in general. hayden!anakin continues to be peak and i'm rly happy to see more tcw-era anakin and ahsoka. ariana greenblatt looks great in the parka

jedi sabine is not real and i'll continue to be a denier even as it plays on the screen in front of me

tbh this season would need to do a lot of heavy lifting to gain back my good will. my whole issue with this show was that it attempted to combine ahsoka + rebels cast storylines/character arcs to the massive detriment of ghost crew.

in short: hope the writing isn't hot garbage again!

my ancient computer finally died in a way i couldn't fix and finally, finally...i am set up to do digital art again. i've tried a couple of practice pieces but this is the first one i feel is close to good enough for the art blog.

not perfect, but better than anything else i've made for WAY too long. so hopefully this is the beginning of this blog becoming more active again!

completely random post but on a conceptual level i agree with a lot of the criticisms around mainstream and pop asian american lit/media (in that a lot of it ends up centering around our inability to be white + relatively shallow interrogation of family conflict), but the way some people talk about it either comes off as madly self-hating (if they're asian), just straight up racist (if they're non-asian), or specifically glorifying asian lit as more complex/rich while demeaning asian diaspora lit as uncultured/diluted

#idk!! just the way ppl talk about it in online spaces feels really Weird #so i usually just talk about this stuff with my irl friends #mags.txt
