This sounds a little crazy, and I personally don’t support this headcannon, but it makes me think of a comparison to him and Jax. If he’s really the angriest boy in town, then he must act pretty badly, and we know that the constant repetition of the emotions in Ukrainian men— and the desperate love between him and Talia.

Maybe he’s deeply closeted, so closeted that Talia’s a cis girl (thought I headcannon her as a pansexual polyamorous demigirl) or whatever who’s one of those people in youth groups that support trans teens. Maybe he was going to transition when he went back to Ukraine— or even before going to Ukraine, to be a girl there— and Talia was a girl he met online who was supporting him.

That may be why he was dubbed the angriest boy in town, too— because in Ukrainian culture, and in his repressed emotions, Misha knew that he was meant to have rage and passion, and due to his awfully dire situation, he could only feel rage and wouldn’t allow himself any other emotions. Y’know, the average internal transphobia.

Also that’s why I think he constantly refers to himself as a guy, as in when he was talking about “two men” kissing each other being normal— he still thinks of himself as a man on the outside even if he doesn’t feel this way inside. Again, with the Macklemore quote— he implies he doesn’t feel that being gay is bad. In my understanding, being gay means a male x a male— he refuses to consider himself anything but a man.

Also I definitely think Misha’s actions in Noel’s Lament and his admiration of Noel in that outfit wasn’t love or lust, rather envy and the relishing feeling of imaging female body parts. . . If that makes sense?
