I could probably compile an entire document of every horrid thing people's favorite blorbos have done over the history of animation and show you exactly how Jax is held to an impossibly high standard in the bad shit he does compared to similar characters who do "redemptions" and get off scott free in the eyes of a fandom.
It's genuinely interesting how the more fantastical your bad actions are (like Caine) the more you don't really have to do anything at all despite actually partaking in active gleeful torture of others. But because those actions are less recognizable as real compared to Jax being a bully, which lands with a lot more people, no one wanted to hold Caine accountable from a fandom perspective even when he went off the deep end. I'm not saying Caine is just evil blanket statement. Just saying its interesting how Caine is unfeasibly worse than Jax in every way possible, but because his actions are more fantastical people yet worse he isn't dissected in the same way people absolutely hate Jax with an undying passion to the point that the bitch fucking died and people think we should continue to run over her corpse.
