TIME TO UPDATE MY ART BLOG!

So, time flies so fast! This week i started back at the Residency in the art school and tried getting stuck in straight away with work which is going in to an exhibition in the Botanical Gardens of Wales at a date that needs to be confirmed in May. So this is my workspace at the minute. Lots of photocopies as per usual!

As part of my residency at Coleg Sir Gar i have started a blog to follow the BA2 class on their creative journey. Alongside the project work, they will be doing designs for prints which i will be helping edition, and work which will be exhibited in the Botanical Gardens of Wales.

Vintage Falls pop up handmade and vintage fair.

So here's an image that Simon took whilst i was doing some Printmaking Demos yesterday at the open day. There was alot of interest in what i was doing, so hopefully it will encourage others to try pushing the boundaries of Print!

Day 1of my Residency consisted of double sided sticky taping hundreds of coloured sheets of paper to white walls ready for the open day tomorrow.

The idea is people can, on the open day, write things on these pieces of paper for them then to be on display for the duration. It a little 'Stefan Sagmeister' -esque project.

Curated and edited by Russell Roberts & Emma Price Public Relations is a series of four commissions that explore different pulses of Cardiff and its urban sprawl in response to the building of the St Davids2 shopping centre. Each of the artists/photographers involved - Dan Holdsworth, Martin Parr, Sarah Pickering and Paul Shambroom – have been drawn to range of situations loaded with the historical weight of the City, its sites of memory, myth, future fantasies, community lives and other expressions of belonging and citizenship. Public Relations exists as a limited edition book-work consisting of posters and newspapers; it offers four alternative accounts of a city at a particular moment animated by increased consumption.
