for ur superman au: kryptonian names don’t have a concrete basis as there’s been a few mess ups with certain characters names so it tells us dc doesn’t have one for it, but it seems that it’s based on a patronymic naming system (specifically effecting women). but it depends on comic issues and whether they’re from 20+ years ago or from the last decade as lately it’s adopted a more english naming system in recent comics
kal-el is superman’s full name, kal being his first and el being his last as he’s from house of el. his fathers name is jor-el, his mother lara-el (her maiden name lara lor van).
for an example of the female naming system, supermans cousin’s full name is kara zor-el. zor-el is her father’s full name, you’d think she’d get just his last name, but no, she gets his entire name instead. kara’s name will be kara zor-el until she marries someone, and then her last name will no longer be zor-el but her husbands last name.
the reason why we know that is because supermans mothers maiden name is lara lor-van (lor-van is her fathers name), but now it’s lara-el because she married jor-el.
so let’s say vi is the daughter of jor-el, you could keep her first name as just vi, but her full name would be vi jor-el until she gets married, then it would be vi [kryptonian version of kiramman]. so in short, it’s vi jor-el, and when she’s married, it’s vi kira.
vi’s parents names are connel and felicia, but we were never given a last name, so if we just keep el as the last name, vi’s name could be vi con-el, with vi being her first name, con being her fathers name, el being her fathers last name. or if you want to go for a matriarchal route, it could be vi fel-el, with fel being her mothers first name, and el her mothers last name.
if you want to go without the patronymic naming system effecting her like it didn’t for kal el (superman), you could maybe use something like vi-con, vi-nel, vi-fel, or vi-cia to accommodate for no last name. or use arcane as a last name, such as vi-cane or vi-arc.
but it’s an au so it doesn’t have to be that way, tbf no one likes how misogynistic it is, but it’s realistic for the planet that krypton seemed to be. it’s an interesting bit of lore though i suppose, so I hope this helps somehow!
