The thing about the Witch Hat Atelier world is that the magic system sounds great until you realize it's essentially programming and that sobers you up immediately. Sure, maybe you reach the level of skill needed to draw perfect curves, straight lines, and circles without looking down, but after that you still need to be able to logic out which combination of sigils will actually give you the desired effect, and if you misplace a single line it all goes to shit. Good rule of thumb is the more people of different backgrounds you know, the harder it becomes to dehumanize them, so its a really good thing to meet people from different backgrounds, and anyone telling you that people from x culture or y country you really shouldnt interact with probably dont have your best interest in mind

one of my favorite things to do as someone's friend is when they're mentioning something they like. i love going "i'd love to know the lore". and then see them go "OKAY SO LIKE" and then they keep going for the next 2 hours and i get to read about their interests. like yesssss tell me everything about what you love!!!!!
