we get to the end of the story. the roaring occurs, or is soon to occur because the enemy has all the right pieces to start it. or whatever. the prophecy probably says that someone has to die to defeat it, but what if it didn’t? what if it said that all would be forgotten?

susie would hate having to forget her time in the dark world, as we’ve seen that it gives her purpose and helped her make friends against what she ever thought would happen. having to forget all that and go back to the life she lived previously? she would hate it. and she would also jump straight on the train of pulling a reset if it meant that they could all find each other in a different world. we also have mention of a suzy from undertale, and while not the right spelling could definitely be foreshadowing for deltarune years down the line.

we also have mention of the holidays from one of the undertale special events over the years. i can’t recall which one, but asgore mentions them when he talks about being santa. i think. couldn’t find the exact thing but i know it’s real.

this would also give kris an out from working with the knight, something they seem at odds with because of their friendship with susie and rekindled friendship with noelle.

the whole reason i bring this is up is sans, unfortunately. or fortunately. depends on who you are. (i’m neutral about him at this point. not the point.) he has many things that a lot of us know to be strange if he were from undertale’s version of the universe. his picture of three figures, the whole quantum physics thing and his affinity for teleporting, as well as his knowledge of the timeline resets and connection to gaster. there are also the two songs “it’s raining somewhere else” from undertale and “the place where it rained,” from deltarune, and while one isn’t related to him at all it is still tangentially a part of him.

these all point to him having some sort of tragic backstory, which i think involves the universe resetting or everyone dying and THEN resetting, one of the two. the main thing here is the picture, which has “don’t forget” written on the back of it. this not only calls forward the lyrics to the song of the same name in deltarune. of course, we all assumed this was something else entirely, but i think it references deltarune. everyone else forgot about it, but he didn’t somehow. which makes the think the weird machine in the workshop helped with that, but unless we see the same silhouette in what i would presume to be the bunker later, we’ll never know.
