Capanda and Co.

The group congregated to their usual meeting spot, conversing with one another as they awaited for more. As it looked like they may have had an issue with numbers and possibly not having enough for one of the bigger marks, several new faces appeared. A male midlander servant of one of the newly appointed hunters; formal, precise, dapper. Julian offered his services by her orders to attend to a more important matters… (cleaning gear from previous hunt) The group saw a glimpse of his abilities from a previous mark, but were never really introduced then.

Another new face appeared as well, a tall Xaela mentioning having a direct relation to one of their associated hunters named Erdene. Perhaps Nergui was they curious about the details of the lodge that they were told, or maybe they were looking for some practice on hunting with some gil on the side?

There was an old, familiar face, the previous bartender of the lodge. The miqo’te named Kiba entered casually and pulled out a bottle seemingly out of nowhere from the bar, a bottle Flynt had long since thought was gone. While seeing some old friends may have been his intention (…or probably just coming for the booze), the mention of gil for taking on a hunt was all he needed to hear to count himself in.

Flynt brought them all aboard for the upcoming mark…

The group gathered at Quarrymil in South Shroud, the details of the mark hinting that some creature with wings was causing issues in the nearby area. Several of the victims wound up petrified, slowly being treated at the nearby settlement. The group had some suspicions on what the mark could be, but they ventured southward along one of the roads to try and confirm what they thought…

The sounds of screaming echoed in the distance, a male yelling at the top of their lungs for mercy. The group barely manages to get to the location in time, stopping the Ahriman from claiming another victim. The hunters did their best preventing themselves from gazing in the creature’s eye for too long, pummeling it with a barrage of slashes, stabs, and spells. 

Coblem Problem

The group of hunters ventured into a mine to clear out the threats the miners spoke about, trying to give them a means to gather the supplies they needed for the upcoming war. They defeated several coblyns and kobolds along the way, but little did they know that a coblyn-infested Golem was just around the corner…

The fight started out a bit rocky, but the group managed to subdue all parts of the enemy. Some of the fighters were poisoned by the coblyn’s poisonous feelers, but were quickly tended to at the lodge.

The Wandering Tonberry Starlight Party! [Part 1] 

It’s that time of year and what better way to kick off the holiday than an after hour work party! Co-workers, friends, allies all were invited to enjoy a bit of merriment.   Lots of food and drink, even a few performances! Roger went shirtless even! 

We’re back for your mid-week chance to unwind in a laidback atmosphere with fine drink and entertainment. 

This week we’re back to the jazzy interludes and soulful songs by three of our own with ample time to relax and RP between numbers. Maybe you’ll meet someone new at the bar. 

We’ll try to keep the haunting down to a minimum, a seance has been scheduled so we’d like to apologize to our patrons for any inconveniences. Spirits are capricious things and at least it’s left the wine alone this time.

[Wandering Tonberry Hunting Lodge]

The lodge staff watches as the main hunting crew gather up and head out on their next mission. Idly they gossip

“And our heroes go off on another hunt. It looks like Mistress Sayori is absent… /again/”

His partner snickers “She came and got another bottle of that Roegaeden whiskey. No doubt she is passed out somewhere again. I’m sure we shall see her again when her bottle runs dry”

The two shake their heads in unison and fo about their buisness.

[EUREKA, Pagos Icepoint]

The scout salutes his commander weakly. Dirty and exhausted he begins his debriefing

“Sir we are making some headway in our push to the northern research sights. The adventures about are of some help… but show signs of exhaustion and madness, to the point they are even fighting amongst themselves… It is bad enough with the native creatures, but these void dragons that have appeared decimated most who try to pass. My team barely made it out but… well just as this one dragon awoke a raen woman appeared out of nowhere. She must have come with the adventures, but traveling alone. She took on the beast, yelling at us to run as she engaged with just a gun. I fear we did not see what happened to her, but well.. I did my best to sketch her when I got back. Hopefully we see her again and thank her properly”

The scout played his notepad on the table.

Since I haven’t worked on this in about two months now, I’m sharing what I had.  I’m still working on lining in the details/figuring out where this outfit doesn’t make sense and fixing it, but this is much better than I normally do!

Not gonna lie, it looks so impressive compared to what I usually do because of really, really heavy references–including outright tracing of one or two things, and having the references side by side on the canvas.  I don’t feel shitty about doing that stuff because I don’t do this for a living, I’m learning/re-learning it, and one of my biggest problems is teaching my hands correct motion.  There are problems, but this is the first time I’ve tried to draw something and felt good about it.  I’m trying to let some of the small problems that I keep going back to go, like how I can’t fucking draw boots and that’s a really shitty angle to be drawing them from.

When I have time to work on it again, I will very soon be moving on to coloring–which I’ve never done before!
