“Because that’s moment you actually recorded.” He chuckled, shaking his head, as he took the pipe from Miles. “It took so long to get out, until I eventually let you catch me…Bad Idea since you fell to the floor the moment I landed on you.”

“Okay wow I was actually considering making you second.” He said, shaking his head again. “I don’t think it’s a chick thing…Eh who cares I’ll do it anyways.” Kaden took out his phone, putting ‘fairy weed father’ as his best friends caller ID. The curly haired boy also took a quick picture of the other with the pipe. “And that’ll be your picture when you call.” He chuckled

❝ Twenty minutes ?? Wow, I have to say that’s a first for me to be THAT unaware but I’m not that surprised, really. Nah, I wasn’t asleep. Just distracted by the TV. ❞    

"Hey, you’re just lucky I don’t have a smart phone to annoy you with. Anything good on? Or is it one of those weird late night documentaries?"

Ellie finished folding all those clothes and put them away, climbing back onto their bed in time for Blade to come in and set the baby in her lap. She sighed softly, feeling like she never got a moment to herself. “A rash?” She laid Athena down on her back on the bed and opened her shirt, brows furrowing in confusion at the necklace and the ring. “What is this?” She pulled the necklace off and set it aside, more concerned for their daughter. She looked down at the little girls chest, looking for any sign of a rash before looking back at Blade. “I don’t see anything honey. She’s okay.”

Blade couldn’t help bu smile as she focused her attention on their daughter and completely ignored the ring. It was just another reason why he was do in love with her. “Did you look closely?” Blade asked, adjusting the ring back to the middle of the babies chest. “I mean, this looks like a pretty serious rash or at least a choking hazard.” He couldn’t hold back his smile anymore, because he knew he probably looked like a total idiot.

Kaden narrowed his eyes at the other, shaking his head. “You think I’m awesome, just admit it.” He chuckled. Shrugging his shoulders, he looked out the windshield. “Well you always bring me weed…especially when I ask. So I mean kind of.”

"You’re like the second most awesome person I know. Cousin Larry is number one, sorry dude.” Miles said, pulling into the McDonlads and quickly parking the car. “Can that be my name in your phone or is that like a chick thing?” He questioned, grabbing an already packed pike from the console and sparking it quickly.  "

Ellie smiled as he got close to her and kissed her cheek. His sweet words, however, made her frown. For such a long time, Ellie had dreamed of the moment he would finally ask her to marry him, but it never came. He always said things like that though, but never asked her for real. She had mentioned it before but ‘the timing wasn’t right’ is what he would always tell her. “Love you too.” She turned and quickly walked away, making her way into the laundry room to grab the dry clothes, taking them up to their room and setting them on the bed. She climbed up onto the bed and turned on the TV before she started folding the clothes.

Blade noticed her reaction and couldn’t help but smile as she turned away. He had something planed for a while now, but the two had been so busy with the baby it was hard to find the perfect moment. He quickly washed  the baby, thinking about what he could do the whole time to make up for all opportunities he had missed. He was getting the baby dressed when the idea came to him. Blade quickly grabbed one of Ellie’s necklaces and took the charm off before fishing into his pack pocket for his wallet. He pulled out the ring he had bought almost a year ago and placed it on the chain before putting it around Athena’s neck and tucking it into her shirt. “Don’t mess this up for daddy.” He whispered, walking towards their room with a concerned look on his face. “Babe? Can you look at her chest? She has this weird rash.” He lied, placing the baby in her lap.  "

“Okay listen I’m getting really mixed emotions from you right now…Either I’m awesome or a dickhead…I can’t be both!” He stuck his tongue out at the other, before looking to the direction of the CD holder. Looking in it, he gave a satisfied. “And because I’m such a loving best friend I get some of that for free.” 

“Oh that’s very unfortunate. I guess I’ll get back to you with my answer once I figure it out for myself.” Miles said with a smirk, turning the radio on and taping his hand to the beat. “What do I look like? The fairy weed father?"

“Oh I do trust myself, thank you for your concern though.” Kaden chuckled towards the male. “Will do, I was hoping you brought some with you.”

"Dickhead.” He joked. “You know I can’t face the outside world without THC in my system. Check in here.” He stated, knocking on the CD holder next to him. “I call it my second stash."

“I’m sure you will.” She smiled and watched him walk away. “How about I take the laundry to our room and fold it on the bed so I’m both relaxing and folding laundry at the same time? Then if I still have some left over when you’re done with Athena, you can help me.” She walked over to the bathroom and leaned against the doorway while Blade grabbed everything he needed to give their daughter her bath. “Sound like a plan?”

"Sounds like a perfect plan, babe.” He smiled, closing the gap between them. Blade placed a gentle kiss on her cheek before gazing into her eyes. “You know I love you, right? Like so in love with you I could marry you right now.” He smirked, placing another kiss on her cheek before turning to their daughter and starting her bath.

“Alright, alright fine. I’m sorry I went against your judgement.” The curly haired boy said dramatically “Let’s go to Mcdonalds…You’re still buying me whatever I want right?” Kaden asked the other with a grin on his face.

"Thank you. Sometimes you just have to trust the master of awesomeness” He chuckled, continuing to drive towards their destination. “Yes, and think munchies because we’re definitely smoking a joint before you get back to work."

“You’re a bigger dumbass than I thought if you think that’s true,” Jemma huffed, shaking her head in disbelief. “Are you okay?”

"A sweetheart as always I see.” Adalia said sarcastically, arms folding over her stomach. “I’m fine, haven’t had a drink in a while.” In reality, she had just downed four shots.

“Yeah I rather you not break any of my bones, thanks.” Kaden shook his head, as he got into the passenger side, putting his seat belt on. “That better be at least five minutes from here, I have work to do Miles. If I fail I’m blaming you.”
