Everything was awful and everything hurt. Genny had come so close to getting everything she wanted: a penthouse with a good view and a man who loved her. Charlie was a gentle man and loved her; even better, he treated her like a queen. How was she going to get on with the rest of her life when she was left alone with nothing? 

It was with that mindset she had spent most of her time after the funeral, locked in bed and refusing to see anyone with a lot of chocolates and romantic movies. Sometimes she wished she could stay in bed forever, but the mercy and pity of her friends and family only went so far. Slowly, she began going out of the house starting with lunch dates with one person before two or three friends were added into the mix. Big groups of people, however, were a plague and unmanageable. 

But how could she deny seeing one of her closest friends on her birthday?  Camila had been an angel throughout this whole ordeal and Genny needed to be there. Lennon, though? That she didn’t expect. She and Lennon hadn’t spoken since the accident and Genny couldn’t help feeling that she had done something wrong. And yet, there they were, in a close corner and awkwardly looking at the floor. God, it was torture, “Hey, so, um, how have you been?”

Tatum: No, you don't get to do this to me again, Grace.

Tatum: You don't get to fucking freeze me out.

“You know, if you’re gonna keep staring you could do it from a lot closer. I don’t bite. Hard.”

                Delicate hand, fingers HARDENED and curled into a fist, rapped quickly on the door. Clarke was nervous, surprisingly so, and she wanted to impress Emma- show her what a real date was. Not that Emma actually thought this was a DATE. It was unmentioned just as it had been unmentioned that the night after the dinner, and Clarke wasn’t about to pressure the beautiful young woman into something she wasn’t interested in. 

                The blonde smiled SOFTLY as Emma opened the door, only to have that smile still at the sight before her. 

    “You look beautiful-”

    “Uh. Should we go?”

LUCY - 

What does their bedroom look like? Scattered and unorganized, with no real design or colour scheme, just a miss matched collection of disney, harry potter, broadway, and all sorts of fan merch and collectibles. She has several bookshelves full of books and dvds, with more in draws under her bed. Her ceiling is dotted with glow in the dark stars,  and her desk is always a mess.

Do they exercise, and if so, what do they do? How often? Lucy tries to- she wants to be healthy and all that.. But she honestly lacks the self control to do it regularly enough to count

Cleanliness habits (personal, workspace, etc.) Lucy is rather messy and scattered. She’s not great at organizing herself and her environment in a personal setting, but professionally (for instance stage managing) she has everything carefully in place and accounted for. She knows how to dress appropriately for the occasion, but she isn’t one to spend a lot of time on things like hair and makeup. A messy ponytail is often her go-to hairstyle. 

Favorite way to waste time and feelings surrounding wasting time. Reading. Lucy can spend hours upon hours lost in the world of a book or a play and always has a book of some sort with her most places she goes. She is also partial to movies and binge watching tv shows. She loves days where she can actually indulge in lazy time wasting. 

Makeup? When she does do make up- usually because it’s a dressy occasion or a friend has insisted- she opts for light, and natural. 

Intellectual pursuits? Lucy loves the arts. Theater, Broadway musicals, indie films, film festivals, foreign films, literature, writing...

Sexual Orientation? And, regardless of own orientation, thoughts on sexual orientation in general? Lucy hasn’t really considered her sexual orientation. She hasn’t had a ton of experience.. but if she were prompted she’d probably call herself pansexual. She’s always felt like it’s who the person is that matters. She also believes sexuality is a spectrum, and doesn’t think anyone has the right to condemn anyone for their sexual orientation.

You will always be my sunshine. After all these years, you’ve grown into a respectable, charming young woman. I’ve never seen a woman so eager to learn and a daughter so passionate regarding her parents. I swear, I don’t think you’d leave your father alone when he needed to work! But I just want you to know how much I love you; how you bring so much joy to my day, even when I’m feeling anything less than happy. Don’t ever let anyone treat you as less than perfect; you will be a blessing to anyone and everyone you meet. Say strong my little sun shower and my your fire burn as brightly as your drive to succeed in life. Happy eighteenth, Maeve.
