ᶦ ʰᵃᵗᵉ ʸᵒᵘ⋅ ᶦ ᶫᵒᵛᵉ ʸᵒᵘ⋅

Renn was frustrated. She had been frustrated since the day she’d opened a book in elementary school. Heck, some of the tricky picture books in kindergarten had caused her to threaten pop-up pictures with juice carton spills. High school certainly hadn’t got any easier and no matter what Cameron tried to tell her she would still chew her lip anxiously as she desperately searched for an answer. Even if the location was tranquil and actually quite settling for Renn’s overly active mind, she was still one step closer to annoyed with each angle. Cam was a good teacher though and Renn knew that losing her temper would make her look silly. It was far easier to stay composed and create an air of assurance than to act on any outbursts and face the aftermath. She didn’t need to be termed anything else when she was sure half the school already looked at her funny because we was some loser from Seattle. She didn’t even sound like them. “So if you angles are the same….” She pondered, tapping her finger on all three points of the drawing. “They’re equal which makes it an equilateral triangle.” She hesitated, her finger resting on one of the sixty degree angles. “And each would have the same value. Did I….Did I get it?” She turned her head and looked at the other a little desperately, her glasses slightly off the bridge of her nose from the long stare down at the paper. “Please tell me I’m at least close.” 

Cameron watched in slight amusement. It wasn't that she wanted Renn to fail. Her own motives aside, she wouldn't wish that on anyone. Especially when their teacher was a real asshole. But seeing this side of the other girl certainly entertained her like no other. She'd always thought Renn was more composed and here she was getting frustrated with the smallest of things. Basic geometry. She didn't understand why they needed to revisit the subject once they were in pre-cal but she didn't argue too much. She could see her getting closer to the answer. So much closer, bringing a smirk to Cam's face. “They're.....” she interjected, not offering much else. She just wanted to see if Renn could come to the answer herself. And by some struck of luck, and her own good teaching, the girl did. The confident expression she wore turned more genuine and excited. “Fuck yeah, you're close! You got it!” Her smile was full of pride. It was sort of 50/50. Partly for Renn, partly for herself. “Equilateral it is,” she beamed, flipping to the next page. Luckily, that was the last question they had for the day. Lucky for who, she couldn't say. Rolling closer, her chest pressed against Renn's arm and her own moved as she casually trailed her back. Each time they were together she pushed the boundaries a little further, wondering if Renn would ever notice. “Do you have to go yet? I was thinking we could chill here or catch a movie....? Something other than study.”
