"Velvette was reduced to wrangling two men and gets no credit for her contributions!"
If you can look at Velvette, list off all her contributions to the story, and then claim the story reduced her to just wrangling two men, I am afraid you are the problem here.
Let's just take a moment to go over how much "wrangling" Velvette does in this season. And a moment to discuss how much of it actually qualifies.
Calling Vox out after he turned the rally into a one-person show and then acted like nothing happened: this is not "ugh, a man is being stupid and now I have to step in". This is, "Hey, we're a team and you're not acting like it." Valentino is in the same boat and making the same callout. This is not a woman wrangling a man, this is two friends telling their other friend that he hurt them.
Calling Vox out for not giving her advance notice about blowing the gates off of Heaven so she could make a social media stunt out of it: this is not "ugh, a man botched a big moment that I could have handled better". This is "WTF is wrong with you, you're usually on top of this." Vox relied heavily on Velvette during the hotel smear campaign, and she was more than okay with that. Hell, they were having fun with it. But now Vox is shutting her out, and she's not angry. We see Velvette when she's mad at Vox, and that's not what this is. At most she's annoyed, and when she points out that they still need more support, she sounds closer to worried. This is not a woman wrangling a man, this is a friend who sees another friend acting out of sorts and is trying to address it (and also a business partner saying, "Yeah, so that was a stupid move"). (The rest of this conversation is some more "We're a team and you're not acting like it," with a side of "By the way, our third friend is still mad at you.")
Telling Valentino they'll deal with Vox once they rule Heaven: this is not "ugh, a man is being stupid and now I have to step in". This is "Our friend is being stupid, and we will have to step in." This is a very sweet moment in which Valentino is doubting his right to be upset, making excuses for Vox, and blaming himself ("Think about the future, Val, don't let success break up the band"). And Velvette says no actually, Vox is the one in the wrong and you are allowed to be mad at him. This is not a woman wrangling a man, or a woman being the emotionally mature one while the two men are being stupid. This is a friend validating and comforting another friend who has romantic feelings for their third friend, who is traumatized about feelings. Velvette is the emotionally mature one because it's not her romance and not her trauma, not because she's a woman.
Going after Valentino when he storms out because Vox is acting like they aren't even there: this is not "ugh, a man is throwing a fit and now I have to deal with it". This is "You are not leaving me alone to deal with this." Velvette is angry too, and she literally says she doesn't want to be there either ("You're not leaving until the press is done! Then we can fuck off"). But at this point she's also the only one who's at least trying to put on a united front for the public. Not because she's a woman, but because she's the only one whose emotions aren't being directly fucked with.
Cutting Valentino down after he gets tangled in cables: this is not "ugh, a man did something stupid and now I have to save him." This is "my friend is in a situation he didn't ask for and I'm helping him."
Telling Valentino not to simp over Vox while he's destroying the city: This one counts. Get your head in the game, Val.
Taking Vox down because he's about to kill himself and everyone around him over Alastor: this is not "ugh, a man is being stupid and now I have to step in". This is "shit, our friend who's been acting weird for days/weeks is having an actual mental breakdown." And reminder, Velvette isn't the only one stepping in! She's the first to step in, but Valentino is there too, and he's the one who actually removes Vox as a threat. This is not a woman wrangling a man, this is two friends staging an intervention because their third friend is having a literal psychotic episode.
"Velvette was reduced to wrangling two men." Congratulations, with that one single sentence you have managed to be misogynistic by acting like Velvette isn't allowed to be responsible or emotionally mature around men; misandrist by acting like men can't have feelings or problems if it will impact women; and ableist by acting like Vox is "a stupid man" who needs to be "wrangled" and not someone dealing with something incredibly painful and damaging.
And just why is it that, in order to "get credit for her contributions", Velvette has to be the new leader of the Vees? I thought you don't want her to have to wrangle the men in her life, so why do you want to put her in a position where that would literally be one of her main jobs? Did you pay any attention to how much "wrangling" Vox has to do prior to his breakdown? Or were you too busy seething because how dare a man tell a woman what to do?
And let's not forget, Velvette would fucking hate being the CEO of a business. Valentino is probably going to hate being the CEO. Because it's not all power and glory, it's mostly paperwork and negotiations. The day-to-day of running a business is boring and tedious and away from the public eye, which is where Velvette wants to be. And where she is strongest because so many of her powers come directly from being an influencer.
Charlie, Vaggi, Rosie, Sera, and Carmilla are all leaders and/or business owners who also happen to be women. We have plenty of room for women who are perfectly capable of taking charge but don't want the responsibilities of leadership.
So like. Where did this idea come from that Velvette is uncomfortable with displays of affection.
Rhetorical question.
But like. I keep seeing portrayals where she's awkward about showing or witnessing affection, doesn't appreciate sexual humor, and has a "get a room" attitude towards Vox and Valentino's relationship, even when they're being reasonably PG.
And in canon she's. None of those things.
She records a video of the other two dancing, inserts herself for a group hug, and then takes a selfie with them kissing behind her. Records them dancing again during Bad With Us. Comforts Valentino with a hand on his arm, then lets him pull her to his side after. Signs off on a call with Vox with kissy sounds and "Kisses, darling." In front of a room full of Overlords.
By contrast, I cannot think of a single moment where she hesitates to show affection, or seems annoyed by the other Vees' relationship (not counting Val simping over Vox destroying the city, because that was not the time for that).
She's also grinning right along with Valentino when Lucifer tells Adam he's going to fuck him (rather than fuck him up). When she says people should start sucking less and Valentino suggests, "Or more," she doesn't lose her smile. When Charlie is setting the scene for Angel to "rescue" Husk, Velvette tells Vox she's "pretty sure one of Val's pornos started just like this." Meaning she's either watched some of his work or at least read the scripts, and is perfectly fine with admitting it. In the drawing video, she casually brings up Vox and Val having sex.
The only time she ever draws the line is when it comes to the details of her friends' sex lives, which she Does Not Want. Otherwise, she's pretty comfortable with their relationship, and with sexual humor.
I dunno. Just something I noticed.
Velvette: Very clearly left-handed.
Valentino: (True?) ambidextrous, no clear dominant side.
Vox: Ambidextrous (mix-handed?), appears to be left-hand dominant.
Bonus: Vincent appears to have been predominantly right-handed.
I have seen headcanons where Vox is naturally left-handed, but was forced to use his right hand growing up. I think I've been convinced.
that little face he makes before answering adds so much he almost had a little giggle but controlled himself for the crowd but oh she makes him laugh
I just noticed A Thing about this scene.
Charlie is angry here. She wants the Vees gone, Vaggi is supporting her in typical Vaggi fashion, and Charlie has taken on her demonic form in a threat display of her own. She has absolutely no issue with threatening the two if that's what it takes to make them leave.
We switch to a closeup on Velvette, during which she ends up on the business end of Vaggi's spear and Vox intervenes. And in the next wide shot, Charlie's attitude has completely changed.
You'd think she would still be on guard, or maybe relieved that the Vees are on their way out, but instead she appears surprised. Her defensive posture has dropped. And as Vox steers Velvette away, she returns to her normal form, looking even more shocked.
Something happened here which she did not expect. And it's not Vox's casual disregard for the incredibly dangerous weapon, because he's obviously wary of it; far more so than he was when it was pointed at him, in fact. And he just as obviously puts himself between it and Velvette, so it's no mystery why he suddenly decided to take the threat seriously.
Charlie set up an elaborate, sabotaged to be actually life-threatening situation so Angel could "save" Husk, because she thought selflessly endangering himself could be the key to redemption. And then one of the people who spent the entire day mocking her efforts went and did that like it was second nature. And then that same person immediately turned around and asked if she thought he could be redeemed like it was some kind of gotcha.
Like. Sir. You literally just showcased your most redeemable quality to the Princess of Friendship Hell. And she noticed. What did you think she was going to say? (I'm sure he missed her reaction because he was focused on Vaggi, but still).

Guys I finally finished this enough to post it, only took like, a month π
Hazbin Hotel Masterpost
Once I had a headcanon about Vox, that can sound really stupid, but actually have a lot of sense?
Anyway, the headcanon is that Vox was meaned to have a twin brother, but he absorbed him, when he was still in his mother's tummy
Okay, now some explanation xd I was reading about sharks and apparently, when they're pregnant, the number of fetuses is quite large, but at the end only one or two is born, the strongest one, because they eat every other one.
Humans have something similar and it can happen, when one of fetuses absorb the other. The smaller and weaker can still be inside their sibling's body as a cluster of cells or tumor/parasite. And it can be discovered much later, when the baby, that survived have 10 yo or something, but you can also find out when you're 20, 40, 80.
Anyway, I see Vincent's family as very religious, esceptially his mother. So when Vince was 7 or 8 and he had operation because of the stomach pain and doctors found a tumor with hands and maybe some hair, Mrs. Whittman started to see her son as a spawn of Satan.
"I always knew something is bad with this kid, now I know why."
"Vince, we're going to church, you'll kneel on peas for a week, but I don't think, God can forgive you."
But later Vox started to see this rather as an evidence for his power, than something to be guilty about. Especially when he learned about sharks xd He had to kill his twin brother, because his own life was in danger, he had to live, to become the new prophet, the new God. Because in this world you can survive only when you're the strongest
(And then he died, landed in Hell and was like "Mommy was right!" Xddddd)
(Also, I headcanon him as daddy's boy, so that's where his God complex came from xd)
Alastor, the mommy's boy, who hates his dad and Vox, the daddy's boy, who hates his mom xd
Homophobic bisexual Vox is my favorite thing ever. That man likes dick and is sooooo mad about it.
I love the detail in episode four when Vox blows the smoke from Valentino's cigarette into Alastor's face, he also breaths it out through his gills.
