Perhaps they are all from different shattered peices? I'm not that far in the story yet, but I recall hearing the Light of Freedom jam was shattered at some point
imagine it's on a timer, so one of the LoFs could be having a conversation, and just randomly turn into another LoF completely confused on what's happening lol
Or perhaps the LoFs have one mega form before they were shattered, but then shattered and became many, then was put back together and could switch between mega form and shattered forms. I can imagine them wanting to be in the shattered forms because each LoF has a different appearance and personality now.
