The way that Cheryl Reeve is laying into her team on the bench during that first quarter for the things they are doing wrong is exactly why she is the coach that she is and has the championships to back it up.
I’m not saying every coach has to be yelling to be efficient, but I promise you every single one of these players DO need to have their asses put in check every now and then and welcome it.
Just because you already clinched the playoffs doesn’t mean you start slacking. You digress and slack off and all of a sudden it’s habit.
These are the BEST basketball players in the country. You demand excellence at all times at the highest level.
Coaching will always be Dallas’ biggest opportunity for the foreseeable future until we have one that is willing to do whatever is needed to WIN. (including checking yourself, throwing out the old play book, keeping the ball in the right hands, etc.)
