Mr. Fell, I am not sure what to do and hoping you can give me some advice if itās no problem.. With the horrible thibgs Neil has done, I feel guilty about having his books in my possession, I have many signed books from him and an extensive collection, I always turned to those books when I needed it the most, now I feel guilt whenever I look at them, should I get rid of them? Is it wrong to hold onto them? Iām not sure what to do..
This is a hard question to answer, because your feelings are very personal. I own books written by mostly good people who have done bad things and rather bad people who have done good things, and no matter how hard I look into an individual writerās soul it tells me nothing about how their words may have helped someone. Holding onto those books does not taint you with wrongdoing. If the stories have meaning to you perhaps they still have value to you, but ā at this moment ā theyāre causing you more conflict than comfort.
If you have the space, Iād suggest that you store the books away in a box for a while and see how that feels. You may find that you miss them or that you no longer need them, but in either case there is no moral failing on your part. Stories are the children of their authors and I have never believed that the sins of the father should be visited onto their offspring.
And if you find you have space on your shelf and havenāt started a collection of Discworld novels, thereās never been a better time!

I only noticed on the 348th time of watching the scene that the reason why Crowley put his fingers to his temples was because he was freezing time to prevent anyone seeing them while they swapped back. Note the frozen people in the background who only start moving again after the swap is done.
@callie-ariane Neil recently said that the miracle sounds are just for the benefit of the audience, and donāt actually exist in the GO world. If thatās true, then maybe they thought we didnāt need extra audio as a cue that a miracle was happening in this scene. I donāt think thereās a miracle sound with the s1 Armageddon time stop either, is there?
@embracing-the-ineffable I had a listen to the s1 Armageddon time stop and there is the miracle sound when Crowley throws his hands into the air. The miracle sound also happens in the park just after Crowley-in-Aziraphale says, "Right, swap back then."
Not sure if this has made it to tumblr yet, but you can vote for the GLAAD fan favourite movie/TV show, so vote for OFMD!!!!!! (you have to put it under Other bc criminally it's not even an option)
Also I really like that Stede actually needed no training whatsoever and he was literally right about blacking out and letting his instincts take over.
The punch? The gunshot? When he's not overthinking things my man is competent as hell

Good Omens giveaway - mistysblueboxstuff's/Andrea C White's latest artwork book
Time for another giveaway!Ā Ā With the publication of mistysblueboxstuffās/Andrea C White's Good Omens season 2 artwork books (more pictures here), and having had her prior approval, Iād like to buy some of the books for a few fans.Ā (The number of books will depend on my bank balance at the time.)
There are two versions of the book: an A4 hard cover and an A5 soft cover.Ā Depending on the number of people who apply, I'll probably buy mostly the A5 softcover but if I can afford it I might buy a few A4 hardcover copies.
Please note: Iām only giving away the Season 2 book (We Could Have Been Us); Iām not giving away the book of artwork from both seasons (Group of the Two of Us).
Iāll pick some people at random (Iām not going to use any fancy algorithm; itāll just be a random selection, probably choosing people from different countries) and then will order the appropriate book and have it sent direct to each person. Ā There are a few provisions around this, so if youāre interested in applying, read the blather under the Keep Reading below.Ā
Deadline for application: midnight (BST) on Thursday 28 September 2023.
To apply for the giveaway, send an email to the following address (which Iām not doing as a hyperlink for obvious reasons): billandteeb at hotmail dot com.
(Itās an old email which I barely ever use, so if it gets spammed to death it doesnāt matter.)
Put āWe Could Have Been Usā in the subject line, and give me the following details:
Your Tumblr/general online nameĀ andĀ the country to which the book will need to be sentĀ (I donāt need a full address at this point, just the country).
You can check whether Peecho will ship to your country by clicking here, clicking on āContinue to Shipping,ā then click on āSearch countryā and scroll down to see a list of the countries.
I donāt need any further details from you at this point, but if you would only like to be considered for the hard cover or for the soft cover, tell me.Ā Itās up to you if you want to tell me why I should pick you in particular, or generally try to butter me up, but it really will be a random selection!Ā Though I should mention that in past giveaways, if someone has just put their name and country and not even a āthank you,ā theyāve rarely been chosen ...
If youāre one of the chosen recipients, Iāll email you on Friday 29 September to ask for your name and postal address. Ā If you apply, you might want to keep an eye on your Junk mail in case my email goes there.
I promise to try and email the unsuccessful applicants after the deadline, but if there are more applications than I can cope with, I might have to do a general notice here on Tumblr after Iāve picked the lucky winners.
I also reserve the right to withdraw the offer if my personal circumstances change and I suddenly canāt afford to do this any more.
In the meantime, good luck if you do decide to apply. Ā NOTE: you must apply by email to billandteeb at hotmail dot com; I wonāt take applications over Tumblrās Personal Message/Ask/Email system.
Love and hugs, Ariane x
Deadline for application: midnight (BST) on Thursday 28 September 2023.
Crowley is almost always on the right as we face them, unless Something Is Going On.
Hmm ...
I remember having an awkward feeling the first time I watched the end credits, but I thought it was just my grief.Ā But later I thought that their placement looks wrong cinematographically.Ā Crowley is showing no expression, while Aziraphaleās face is doing a three-act play during those few minutes.Ā Wouldnāt you put the more animated face on the left?
Hmm ...
Also:
@lonicera-caprifolium ā: with all your brilliant theorising about whatās going on at the end of the episode, do you think thereās any relevance to the dust over the screen during the credits?Ā I think itās meant to be the dust on the Bentleyās windscreen, but why is the Bentley overlaid on the whole screen?

What he actually said was, "Sounds like a continuity error to me, I'm afraid." Ā 'Sounds like,' not 'is.'Ā It's not like him to be vague. I think he would have been more definite if he knew that it truly was a continuity error.
Iām still keenly holding to @lonicera-caprifoliumās (and othersā (including my)) theories which include the clock issue.Ā And we know that Dad lies/is vague when it suits him.
That said, when Iām on leave from work next week, Iām going to be re-watching Season 2 a lot and trying to remember to always look at the time on the clock to see if thereās another scene where the clock shows 9:40.Ā If there is, I shall be peeved!
Don't just run GO2 repeatedly on Amazon - it might not be counted
I've read that if you just keep running Good Omens season 2, and also if you have it muted, Amazon won't count the repeated runs.
After a while, it will assume you're a bot and won't count it as a run.
To make your re-runs count, you need to come out of the run every couple of episodes and play something else on Amazon, maybe a whole episode of another series, or a film. After that, go back to where you left off with Good Omens and continue the run from where you left off.
Don't use the mute option or the volume bar on Amazon to keep the volume off. Drop the volume to very low, or mute your own speakers instead.
I read this on Facebook and it may not be accurate, but I reckon it's worth bearing in mind if we want every run of season 2 to count.
UPDATE: I've since seen advice that you don't need to come out of the episodes provided that, on each run, you occasionally pause an episode, or rewind a bit. As long as it looks like you're interacting during each run, you won't look like a bot.
(I guess it's possible that you could even commit the ultimate sin of hitting the Skip Intro button, but I think that's a step too far!)

Okay, so!!!! This post will have spoilers for the very end of Good Omens season 2, but I have a theory about that ending and I'll explain--
Something was bothering me, so I just went back and watched the ending like actually 30 times and I am fully 99.999999% certain they switched places
As they're pulling away after the kiss, they lock eyes and Aziraphale's expression shifts in the teeniest tiniest way, like a confirmation glance, before they shift back (and Michael Sheen is a master, so no chance it's not on purpose)
(Like really, go back and watch how Aziraphale's expression shifts literally *a second* before "I forgive you" cuz the change is SO minute, but entirely different emotionally.)
Aziraphale's hands -stay by his sides- after that, he doesn't clasp them at all, and it's particularly noticeable while he's walking to the elevator with Metatron.
The Bentley only ever plays other music for Aziraphale, but also Crowley drives away slowly, but ALSO Crowley's collar is fully turned down but you -can- see bits of the red underside in several scenes (particularly before he changes in heaven), but you don't see it -at all- after the kiss
And Aziraphale's face IS weird in the elevator like everyone says, BUT. after going back and watching both, I'm pretty darn sure that's cuz it's Michael Sheen's Crowley, it's the SAME as during Aziraphale's trial in season 1.
This also explains why they're on opposite sides than they're usually shown while the end credits roll.
Okay okay okay, I watched it again and I'm back with very very very solid evidence for you!!!--
It's the clock!!!! Someone mentioned how the scene is so quiet you can hear it ticking and my brain went off--
When they're talking, the clock is at approximately 9:25, then they walk across the room, and kiss, and immediately after that the clock is set about 15-ish minutes later!!
They're so meticulous, it can't be a mistake (I'm not even convinced that's a working clock irl)
Aziraphale isn't looking at "where Crowley went", he looks at the clock, *focuses on it* as Metatron walks up to him, and then spends the ENTIRE REST OF THE EXCHANGE blocking Metatron's view of the clock
Dammit, @lonicera-caprifolium, I need to marry your brain. This is *brilliant*! And surely someone on the crew would have checked that the clock read the right time whenever they re-set the scene (I somehow doubt they filmed all that in one go, or even in one day).
Someone in the Notes to this epic post helped me reconcile the reason why 'Aziraphale' appears so moved after the kiss (the lip touch). Maybe at the end of the conversation during the frozen time, and once they'd swapped bodies, Crowley said, "We'll have to kiss again before I unfreeze time," and, instead of being awkward about it, Aziraphale promptly grabbed him and planted an epic lip-lock on him, far better than Crowley could ever have hoped for.
It could also explain why 'Aziraphale' is flailing at 'Crowley''s back at the end of the kiss, desperately wanting to hold him closer but knowing that he can't.

I have fallen more and more in love with this theory, but ...
I couldnāt work out how it happened without Crowley forcing the swap on Aziraphale, in which case the rest of that scene didn't make sense. Then I remembered.
Crowley can stop time.
I'm thinking that he kissed Aziraphale, then stopped time and explained his plan (whatever it is) before they swapped and carried on as we see in the episode, faking the break-up in case Heaven is watching. If Lonicera's theory is right, we'll probably see my additional theory in flashback in S3.
I also noticed that when Crowley (Aziraphale?) gets into the Bentley and closes the door, the doorframe briefly seems to be yellow, although that could be a reflection of someone's coat as they pass by.
It would make so much sense for Crowley to go to Heaven in Aziraphaleās place. As a Throne, Dominion or higher, he can protect himself better if it all goes pear-shaped.
Oh, I really hope this theory is right. For the first time, I'm really excited for season 3. I was worried that the two of them would be separated for a large portion of the season; now I'm more hopeful that they'll be reunited earlier.
If this is an option, then Aziraphaleās entire trip to Edinburgh without Crowley was to foreshadow that he can drive the Bentley *and* play non-Queen music in it.
this fits so neatly with something I was thinking and just about to write down as My Theory on the S2E6 Ending (because everybody's doing one!)
In the conclusion of the Job minisode, Aziraphale and Crowley reprise a trick we saw with the "Great/Ineffable Plan" casuistry at the airfield in s1: passing a con back and forth and cluing each other in on the next move without tipping off the authorities present that they're colluding or what the con is.
Aziraphale typically drops the cues; Crowley picks them up and does something with them. That's totally how they snow Job's kids into the cellar, also how they snow the angel posse on restoring Job's children to him. (I love how Sitis picks up on the con so much faster than poor God-befuddled Job or petulant Ennon, even though Crowley explicitly miracled her into the Shuhite business.)
It's also how the bullet-catch works in the Furfur flashback (because I still love that phrase and I will not give it up). Aziraphale repeatedly cues reluctant Crowley until the con, er, trick, is successfully performed.
Notably, whenever Sheen is dropping cues, his voice and body language get a bit frantic, particularly with the placating-hands thing.
Notice how nervous and placating-hands he is while he's explaining the Metatron's offer to Crowley. He's putting on a veneer of happy excitement, but to my eyes he's all but screaming "help! Crowley, this is bad, I can't actually talk about it because the Metatron is right the Hell over there, pick up on my cues please and help me!"
And it sure looked to me like Crowley, absorbed in his epiphany from Nina and Maggie, completely whiffed the cues. Which isn't very Crowley-like; he is painfully aware of that angel, always.
It makes so much more sense to me if Crowley caught the cues and stopped time for them to hash out the situation.

And I just remembered that Neil was asked here on Tumblr whether there are any clues to season 3 in the season 2 titles, to which he replied yes.
But we all know what a sneaky bugger he is. The question was probably referring to the opening titles, but what if Neil's answer refers to the episode 6 *closing* titles, and specifically @lonicera-caprifolium's realisation that Crowley on the left and Aziraphale on the right is Just Not Normal?
after the kiss when Aziraphale touches his lips- watch the way he moves his jaw right at the end (link- the last 3 seconds of this clip) cuz that 100% looks like a bit from Michael Sheen's Crowley
Oh, gods, I'm going to be up all night with these brilliant theories! And I just realised that they can actually tie in with the Coffee Theory ...
If the Metatron really did do something to the coffee, Crowley might have tasted it on Aziraphaleās lips when he kissed him. That's when he stopped time and they talked about it, Aziraphale realised that Heaven was still up to its old tricks, and they came up with the swap. Though I still can't work out the full reason for it.
It also dawned on me that Michael Sheen must have been told to act a bit Crowley in the scenes after the kiss. The poor sod, and presumably David too, have now got to sit on that secret for the next few years!
