There were also an insane level of plot holes cause wdym paedyn survived the slums all on her own for ages and also took down 3 men on her own for her trials but on the ship one random guy tried to throw her overboard and she needed kai to save her?? Also why did she even need to do trials to prove herself worthy to be queen?? Kitt was the king couldn't he have just said this is my wife now yall can suck it.

Also I just hate how their personalities devolved as the series progressed. Paedyn went from being a strong willed, tough, self sufficient survivor to getting chained up like a dog by kai and needing him to always rescue her. Kai lost all his depth and trauma and just became a sole minded creature who was more like a plot device romantic love interest who revolves around paedyn rather than being his own character.

Also Lauren had the audacity to kill the only good characters and I'm never forgiving her for that #justiceforadena

Also a lot of things in the book was just... not okay. Like how paedyn constantly cheated on kitt while engaged to him and they weren't even subtle about it like everyone knew. And how kai kept encouraging the cheating while they were engaged but not when she was married cause he respected another man's claim on her more than he respected her wishes. How paedyn cheated on him again right before their wedding by doing it on HIS LITTLE SISTERS GRAVE!? and also how kitt and paedyn kissed when they're half siblings 🤮 like the books didn't just go downhill, they landslided.
