We’re back

It gets a lot of the surface level aesthetics of DND right (taking stuff from the monster manual, names of locations, PC classes, etc) but I do feel like it doesn’t rly capture the experience of playing DnD. It clearly isn’t trying to, it’s more just like an mcu type joint in a generic fantasy setting. But it would have been kinda fun to watch the characters all sit around arguing about their plan of attack because the wizard has a new spell that they want to use but they don’t actually understand how the spell works so the plan they’re proposing sucks. Or like. Going to a tavern and doing a bad job flirting with NPCs. That kinda stuff. Just real authentic DnD experiences yknow

dude the ending scene between Tom and Shiv was fucking heartbreaking. gotta be the most devastating + realistic breakup scene i’ve ever seen. it’s not like i was rooting for them as a couple or even particularly like either of them, and i personally have never been divorced. so. how did it manage to pull that much empathy out of me :’(
