Day 4 trying to create a comic and grab people's attention!

Anahí doesn't like to show vulnerability and always tries to be strong. Fermi, on the other hand, is sincere about his feelings and sometimes needs to keep Anahí in line. Conflicting plot!

Curiosity: Did you know that Fermi has 7 cats? Fermi is a very grumpy Italian most of the time, but he also spends that same time taking care of 7 very hungry cats. :D

Day 2 trying to get people's attention with my future comic!
I'd like to compare my initial drawings of my character Anahí with her more recent drawings.
Anahi (or Amura) She's going to be the protagonist of my comic book, and an interesting fact about her is that she really likes rock music, she's stubborn but has a big heart.
And yes, her name changed too! Especially since she's a Chilean girl. (Annie doesn't exist anymore!)
Before: It had more realistic proportions, and many people I knew liked it, but... I was feeling dissatisfied with my art style, so I changed it!
After: It's much easier for me to draw, and it will look better in the comic book when I see it.
Well, Amura remains sleepy during her physics work at the Axiom Directive. (A large and amazing place where she works!) 💜

As I said before: What I intend to do now is use this blog for my digital comic, which is currently in development and is called "The Immersive State". The story is a science fiction, mystery, and action genre.
Synopsis:
After being accused of stealing her own work, a physics engineer loses her career, her reputation, and everything she has built. Determined to get revenge on the person responsible, She delves into an investigation that leads her to the mysterious death of a girl and a conspiracy far larger than she ever imagined.
The closer she gets to the truth, the more dangerous it becomes to turn back.
Here's what our protagonist will look like in the story!
Anahí Amura, a physics engineer (specifically a mechanical engineer) She is very stubborn, but has a heart of respect for other people, regardless of her popularity.
Anahí Amura is a Chilean character who really likes rock music and salmon. She doesn't particularly like dramatic people and always tries to encourage courage. (Even though she is insecure many times throughout the story).

Look who's back and day 0 trying to get people's attention with my comic!
Hi again, this time I'm back to posting and being more active. I've been gone for a while because of my studies and I needed to improve.
From now on I'm going to be more direct in my posts, so here are some things I've changed on this blog:
I'm not going to make any more fanart of any media or fandom anymore. I have my account @cabrapost for fan art and artwork by artists I like.
What I intend to do now is use this blog for my digital comic, which is currently in development and is called "The Immersive State".
The story is a science fiction, mystery, and action genre. We will follow the protagonist Anahí Amura, a physics engineer, in the story after she suffers an injustice, and during her quest for revenge ends up having to investigate the death of a popular girl. Ultimately, the investigations lead to a deep conspiracy about their world.

Tarik (The dark-skinned guy) is one of the most prestigious and skilled chefs in the world, but he doesn't like fame very much; He is hiding from the media under a new name: Turco. Turco manages to be himself even with that name, and even more so alongside his Italian friend, Alexandre Fermi.

hiii your post about liking clone high art style showed up on my dash and i'm not bold enough to comment non-anonymous. but!! you should try collecting a bunch of screenshots(when i try to emulate a new style, i start with characters that i think look the most like my own in the style) and mask them! it's a bit like tracing BUT it's specifically to break down the shapes that make the character to help teach yourself why each shape is chosen, why it's morphed a certain way with certain poses, et cetera. this would remain as practice/warm up rather than the finished art, because just tracing flat out isn't super helpful for learning. plus learning the reasons for the shapes helps you still make it unique/your own take on it when you make the actual piece. i know you didn't ask for tips but i hope this is helpful!! 👉👈

The idea of gathering screenshots sounds brilliant to me. And I’ve started to understand the part about studying shapes more clearly! More triangular shapes usually relate to more dangerous-type characters, while more circular shapes tend to fit softer characters (I hope I’m thinking along the right lines 🥹).
Honestly, the best thing really is to break down the shapes and then adapt those characteristics into my own characters.
I will strive to improve my art more and more!

One of my Immersive State OCs. She is Annie Amura's best friend and she will serve as both a helper and a source of conflict throughout the story.
She is part of the Department of Human Sciences and she's a historian! During the narrative she desperately wants to find her father, who has been missing for 7 years, but she has to give up her own goal to help Annie with her uncontrollable thirst for justice.
(And most importantly, Virginia Farnese's 'mortal' enemy!)
A quick fun fact! 🔎
I based her name on two real historical figures.
Joanna D'arc + José Bonifácio de Andrada e Silva (Everyone knows Joanna's story, so I have to talk about José)
José was basically a Brazilian known as the "Patriarch of Independence"; he advocated for Brazil's independence and ended slavery gradually.
And l chose these two characters because they both convey the symbolism of the concept of independence in history, and also because I thought their names were really cool hehe. >XD
This symbolism of independence is very important to this character throughout the story!
