OSDDID are traumagenic disorders, they FORM because of trauma. The splitting of your alters / parts / headmates / whatever you call them can happen for any negative reason.

Too much stress? You can split. Something traumatic? Split. High anxiety? Split.

Once the disorder has formed, your splits are not bound to traumatic events. They can happen for any number of reasons, but it's always because your brain has found something that it feels it needs another part to take care of.

having a high alter count

not having amnesia

having lots of introjects

using sign offs and decorating your system trackers

having comorbid disorders

not knowing whether you have osdd, pdid, did

having dramatic switches

being cringe

not being diagnosed

being a teenager

not remembering trauma

And to ableists? Ableists have a terrible disability pride month and get punted off the planet.

Btw this includes you endos, you're ableists and you need to accept that. Stop faking or accept you actually do have trauma because you're just being insensitive.

I legit just saw a pro endo say that CDDs are dissociative disorders, not trauma disorders, so they “don’t require trauma” (somewhat normal endo rhetoric) and then went on to say that the actual “trauma version” of CDDs is.. PTSD. Lowkey implying that you don’t have a CDD if you have trauma/PTSD?? Then had the balls to say “do your own research"??

Having a complex headspace is valid
