I doubt they constructed the treehouse like this too, but I'm pretty sure the home intercom system extends to the treehouse. So, with my actual house, it's all so soundproof that knocking is useless and you have to use the doorbell on the intercom outside of every room.

They were on their way to the pond, despite the still falling snow and chilly wind. It was a desperate attempt to get out of the house, maybe get some peace and quiet. They didn’t want to disturb their friends, not right now, so that didn’t leave many options in South Park. So, sitting by Starks Pond it was.
