Ugh, Office Annoyances and Awkward Stuff
Work’s usually fine—you go in, get stuff done, chat a bit, go home. But some days are just off. Today was one.
I got in a little late. No big deal, I was still there and working. But one guy who doesn’t do much himself had to point it out loud enough for everyone to hear. It’s not his business. I showed up, that’s what matters. I’ve got enough going on without extra comments like that.
Then there’s this coworker—let’s call him Ned—who kept picking his nose at his desk. Hard. Until it started bleeding a bit. He had blood on his fingers and just shrugged it off like it was allergies or something. It’s gross and distracting. Same guy already gets on the boss’s nerves a lot. People are getting tired of it.
Got home hoping to relax. My roommate’s awesome, seriously one of the best. But lately every conversation turns into her talking about her sex life in detail. I don’t mind that she’s open, but not constantly while we’re just hanging out in the living room after a long day. I’m trying to eat dinner and unwind, not get a play-by-play.
So yeah, just one of those days. Dodged the weirdness at work, ignored the unnecessary comments, and gently changed the subject at home a few times. Hoping tomorrow’s quieter.
Now I’m making coffee and washing my hands. Thoroughly.
