Why are you so interested in the universe ?
Asked my father asked the other day.
At first I was speechless, then I thought about my answer. Then I thought to myself that it was actually a very good question. Because every human being, who is even slightly interested in space and science in general, comes to certain conclusions. If humanity survives long enough on this pale blue dot in the cosmos, it will inevitably face its own extinction. Suggesting that we will not self-destruct before that fateful hour, one day our sun will enter a red giant phase. If the laws of gravity do not then push us into a more viable orbit, the fate of all life on Earth will then be sealed forever.
So why am I so interested in the universe ?
Well, besides being curious, I hope that by looking up to the sky, we may some day find the answers that will help us avoid our dark and distant fate.
