Hello and welcome to The Burhouse!

There are many things to find here, but before you get to it, there are some important things you should know!

This blog is run by two people, Mod Windows & Mod Dial-up. We'll not be involved in the overarching story told here, but we are the ones creating the art, stories, and answering asks. There will be more about us under 'read more'. Posts that involve us speaking will be tagged with #windowsstartup and #dialingin respectively.

The Burhouse is a simple concept. All of Wilbur's bursonas have for one reason or another found themselves within the same world/universe as our own, and in Wilbur's home! There are 19 of them, including Wilbur 'the streamer'.

For our own sake, and fun story reasons, each of these 'burs have their own nicknames/code names as well as back stories, and things that set them apart from others. Differing ages, looks, backgrounds, and dozens and dozens of headcanons. The basics will be covered under the 'read more'.

On that note, there will be a few ships included. Yes that means this is a sootbur blog, though not entirely centric around the ships. Don't like it, move on! We're just having fun here.

There is also platonic relationships, rivalry, and found family. The whole lot. There will be allusions to things that may be nsfw, so please be mindful. Everything will be tagged appropriately.

There are several 'burs, and they will be tagged if they appear in a post. Stuff like 'ghostbur' 'raftbur' 'mccbur' etc, etc. Though again, they do all have names, so please use the read more as reference about the basics of each one!

This is an askblog! Feel free to send asks about the burs, what they do, etc. They will be answered in character (unless the asks are for the mods).

Submissions are also open.

Depending, we may even draw or write things more for it!

Sometimes we make content that doesn't fit the timeline of the blog, or we make aus of this au. For that?

This is the end of Burhouse, though if you’re lucky enough to see us or know who we are you may be lucky to hear more of the story, but publically it will come to and end.

Dialup wishes to remain anonymous for personal reasons, and if you do happen to know who they are it is encouraged to simply forget that you know. Please respect their wishes.

Walter: Well... don't tell anyone I told you this. It's Milo. He will start laughing just by the smallest of pokes. I reckon he'd be crying within seconds if you kept it up.

Bec: Oh mosquitos are the worst. Harbingers of the apocalypse I swear.

They carry around so much fucking disease in an already awful wastes... and that was there. Here they're just annoying? They still kill people too.

Like, something not being edible, or stuff y'all didn't know existed

Jared: Oh all the fucking time. Tiptup digs through the trash like a heathen, a wild animal. There could be perfectly good left overs in the fridge and he'll dig in the trash for a half eaten apple or something. He also eats raw meat.

I try cooking for... at least some of these guys.

Nightmares haunt this place like shadows haunt a bar, after all.

Johnathan : I love them. They are very fluffy, and huggable, like flying dogs. I wish we had them here.

Walter : Flying dogs?

Johnathan : Yes?

Walter : How- bees aren't as big as dogs, John.

Tiptup, while not entirely responsible, did argue a lot with Jared when he first arrived, which is of course a stark contrast to their current close friendship. It worked out for the best though, as while Tiptup is not entirely responsible for Jared expanding his world view, he did beat a fair amount of sense into him, and continues to at times.

Blue: Oh! Of course we do. Though I don't know all of them... some of them are personal I'm sure!

I call Casper a ton of things! Mostly it's just to see him light up like a lantern! Those don't have much... deep meaning other than silly names! Like batty-bear! They're just offhanded petnames.

Blue: We do have more personal ones! He sometimes calls me his sapphire or a gem.. he tries to be all romantic. It is really sweet. I usually just default to Casp.

Milo: Oh... I don't think so! Though it actually isn't too hot above the clouds. It's actually quite chilly.

Whenever I got really hot I'd just take my jacket or even shirt off and that would be enough.

Milo: But I had plenty of water. I had to deal with sunburns more since well... there's nothing blocking the sun! Which is why I would cover up so much. It's strange being below the clouds, but the shade and the rain is quite nice.

Milo: Of course I do! I don't know why I wouldn't! I've seen them with my own eyes. They... care very much for me.

I hope they're alright. I hope they're not too sad I'm gone... oh dear I hope my animals are alright.

Here’s some of the ones we thought may have been the hardest to pronounce? This is how we pronounce them (just said y’know faster, instead of syllable by syllable or whatever!). If there were others, please let us know!

Ishmael: Aye, that's how it goes, isn't it? I find shanties created while living in the moment or drinking with your friends are the the ones best repeated.
