I was spending a summer in Michigan and decided to walk around the Ann Arbor art fair by myself while my aunt was working. I saw a fruit stand and decided to buy a bowl of pineapple. Next to me was a tall, handsome middle eastern man getting yelled at by the guy handing me my fruit for not buying enough supplies. As I was paying he turned to me and asked if I was from the area, I told him I was visiting some family but I live in Texas. He promptly told me he had some family in Texas and that would move to Texas if his wife was there. I was so shocked that I just laughed and said something like “that’s crazy”. We chatted for a few minutes without exchanging names and I walked away because I felt like I was lingering at the fruit stand for too long and wanted to eat my pineapple.
