Soooo au of uwabami!Madara and ningyo!Tobirama
Madara is 1000yo snake that cultivated in hopes of becoming a dragon one day. But despite becoming as strong as the dragon god Hashirama and as skillfull in magic as kitsune princess Mito, he still couldnt reach ascension because of his dark dark karma that he achieved by sinful lifestyle. To clear his bottomless dark karma he would need to spend another 1000 years in constant praying and penance and he kinda didnt wanna do all that so he decided to cheat and ask Hashirama for the hand of one of his dragon kin, hoping that having a dragon spouse will change his status and he could become a dragon himself. To persuade Hashirama, he asked to become a part of his family, thinking that any closely related family member of the dragon god would be a dragon too.
Tobirama, the only non-dragon brother of Hashirama, knew exactly why Madara came to his brother with such proposal. Since he knew a way to let them both turn into dragons, he volunteered fo marry Madara. The second reason is he just didnt want to see Madara get what he wants so easily, so he had to ruin it
Madara felt deceived when Hahsirama happily introduced him to his new spouse, but it was his own fault he didnt check before that not all of Hashirama's family members were dragons so he stucked with Tobirama.
Tobirama, fully knowing why Madara wanted to marry, still got his feelings hurt when his new husband didnt show any excitement at seeing him as his spouse, so their first meeting wasnt very loving. In this au Tobirama is much younger than Hashirama or Madara abt 200 yo maybe, so Madara never met him during time of his and Hashirama's active friendship. Also Tobirama is much more brattish here and acts like a jealous wife when Madara doesnt show much reaction to his awkward attempts at flirting(due to his age and lifestyle Madara is less responsive to human-like courting patterns and flirt doesnt even exist in his vocabulary, this guy can just fuck on forest floor if he feels like it)
