I’ve been seeing weird shadowy blobs (almost never humanoid in shape) and I thought i could find an explanation but the first page of google is 80% wackjobs talking about ghosts and extraterrestrial visits. Other possible explanations (in order of likelihood):

1) PTSD (which is what i assumed caused it, tho other symptoms have been improving)

2) Sudden onset schizophrenia

3) Taking a lot of Benadryl, tho I don’t even have Benadryl

4) Brain tumor/injury.

This happened to me for a bit in high school. My doctor upped my lexapro and it went away 👍

It’s scary but honestly not much to worry about unless the hallucinations start escalating. I’d say for a more immediate solution than seeing your dr try reducing stress, sleeping more, weaning yourself off non-prescription substances (including caffeine), and just generally taking it easy for a while; that’s what helped me. I know it’s hard to do that as an adult when you work but I promise it’s worth it to take an hour or two every day to just relax.
