Martina Markota reports on the Yellow Vest protests in Paris and how far-left groups like Antifa are using the protests as an opportunity to loot and vandalize.

Paris Yellow Jacket protest. They’re upset about mostly Macron, everyone’s really upset about the government tax prices. You’ll hear about a lot carbon tax, immigration, these people are also upset about immigration and these taxes kind of play a part with the immigration because immigrants are unemployed, they’re not making money, they’re just benefiting through the government benefits and it ends up being the taxpayers that are compensating for that.

So taxes are just insane. And people are so upset about it they decided to protest. Why people are wearing these yellow jackets? Is because everyone is required to have them in their car, it’s mandatory, so when you get out of your car and you’re doing something on the street or something you have to put on the yellow vest. So they all gathered wearing his yellow vest to protest Macron.

So we went and as we started approaching the arc there was a bit of mist in the air it smelt like sulfur and it wasn’t so bad, and we got up we could tell that there was a bit of noise going on by the arc, but the closer and closer we got the more pops and bangs there were, and then suddenly the the scent of sulfur wasn’t just in the air anymore, it was actually really burning the nose the eyes and it became really uncomfortable, and that’s why everyone was wearing gas masks.

So I wanted to see what the action was, get right in there, so when we got to the arc, there was definitely more action there, was police everywhere, people were screaming and protesting and angry about Macron and then there was just more and more smoke. Things started to get way more hazy and uncomfortable, everyone was crying because of the tear gas people were helping each other put eyedrops in, and the more things became heated between the police and the protesters the more violent things became. Police were wearing riot gear. They were not only shooting this gas but there was the rubber bullets and they’re very large.

This is the size of the rubber bullets that the police were shooting into the crowd. So became pretty dangerous and volatile. In fact last weekend there was a lady that lost an eye because -  could you imagine this going into your face. I mean it’s incredible that I came out safe and I wasn’t even wearing any gear. I honestly wasn’t expecting this type of protest being this way. There was a guy that we went with that was hit by one of these, and look at the damage that it did - this broke skin. 

Another person got a broken nose from these bullets so we got peddled in the police were everywhere they were spraying water hoses with these trucks and the arc de triumphe is an inner circleso the police were surrounding the perimeter while all the protesters were in the middle and they were shooting all of these bullets these plastic bullets the teargas was was crazy it’s important to remember that these are police orders Macron is gassing his own people.

While we were there there was even one of the Antifa guys who ended up attacking a police officer and he started raising his shield like he had victory over the police and a really interesting story because when he was attacking the police he really beating him up, but there was the other Yellowjackets people that ended up protecting the police and saving him from the fellow protester far-left protester who was attacking him.

Once there was tear gas in one area everyone would run cuz it very uncomfortable it was making us gag, people were vomiting, they were very uncomfortable, so once these things would shoot we would shuffle to another side of the circle and what they did was they tracked us on all sides, and shot tear gas and pellets to the point where we didn’t know where they wanted us to go. At that point it was just punishment and it became so unbearable that me and my partner with this crew, were like we can’t handle this anymore and we begged the police to please let us out.

Well we came back to Paris burning. We originally got out of the cab and instantly there was police chasing the Yellowjackets, they were shooting more of those cannons and at this point I knew what was going on and realized this was not safe. I did not want to be in the middle of any of these plastic bullets, so we got out of there and decided to walk around and as we approached the arc again for the second time at night it was incredible, we walked down the street and the first thing we noticed was a shop store. A shop store had the glass broken it was looted there was things all over the place and the store owner was very angry, she was visibly upset, this is her business this is a local business, and they were looted and I didn’t understand why this was happening because I did see some of the protesters throwing bottles and doing things and I was like “why is this happening”? And someone said “oh those are the leftist, those are the leftist” and I didn’t want to just come here and tell you “oh these are leftist” and just say that to you without any evidence.

But when we saw these lootings going on. Every time there was a store looted it’s really interesting that you would see an anarchy sign, you would see Antifa there was always an indication that it was far leftists, there was no indication that it was anyone else. So there were normal people at this protest. There are regular everyday workers there it’s not a political thing, there was left-wing, there was right-wing, there was clearly Antifa there were right-wingers, there was normal working people but the this looting and the disaster that came afterwards all the fires and all the burning cars flipped over they all were signed and tagged by leftist, and Antifa, and this is the proof.

People are very angry at Macron, and the press reported that he said “come and get me” so during the protest there was a sign that said “we’re coming to get you”. I mean this is another revolution that people are trying to make. There’s graffiti that even say “revolution” . People are very upset, this is a very good indicator that the tide needs to turn, but I would just be careful of exactly who is looting and creating destruction because you don’t want this type of far-left extremism to ruin this point, you want this point to be good and to be true and to help France become France again instead of just crazy destruction and third-world behavior.

The people are demanding referendum, they want change and they want it to be in the hands of the people, not the government. I also want to point out that in this footage right here you can see Antifa graffitit on the arc de triumphe, I mean as someone that’s into art and culture and if you are supposedly a nationalist why would you destroy one of your most amazing monuments with this kind of graffiti? Apparently these people care more about Antifa than they do for France.

I spoke to one man who said that many protesters had come in from small villages, and he explained their motivations.

One man told me that he’s participating in the movement, which started out as a demonstration against taxation, but has grown also to protest the constantly dropping standard of living and illegal immigration.

Makes sense why the Left want to import the 3rd world. Whites are a global minority of 8-10% of the world’s population. The left’s actions, rhetoric and intentions is only validating the Alt-Right and more people are seeing that. Just saying. Authoritarians will never learn!

I stand with what Stan Lee said. In my years of being a fan of pop culture and entertainment since I could friggin crawl and work the VCR when I was a toddler to wear out my favorite movies on VHS tape, I have always stuck by keeping established characters as their original race, gender and sexuality. I am a fan of that character regardless of their gender, race and sexuality because of their personality and journey, however their identity is WHO THEY ARE. Their traits should be left intact. 

There is talk about changing Indiana Jones to be a woman, we already have that, her name is Lara Croft. I grew up playing her games as a kid, my sisters and I loved those games, not because we’re female, but because they are fun games, she is a character in her own right and yes it reminded us of Indy. But to us she was never a rip off of Indy, she stands well on her own. What I like about new characters is the many cross-over ideas. Indy and Lara team up? Yes please.

These slactivists like to go on and on about how important identity is and wield identity politics but in their stupid farce of “fighting the status quo” they believe only white straight characters identities are interchangeable. 

If some asshole were to suggest to change Black Panther to be anything than black - I would stand with the fans to protest that.

If some asshole were to suggest change to Captain Jack Harkness to be straight - I would stand with the fans to protest that.

But when it is white straight characters that these bigoted feminist SJWs target it is “controversial and racist, sexist, homophobic” to protest changes to the character’s identity.

See, this hypocrisy is all one needs to see to know the SJWs, these post modernists that rather butcher other people’s creations than make their own to put their message/politics across (that is post modernism for ya) are full of shit when they claim to be fighting the status quo and for minorities. 

When they do try to make their own characters, they fail to resonate because all they focus on is what identity group they are from. That makes it hard for people outside that group to relate to that character. SJWs and feminists make it all about the character’s gender, their race or sexuality, Which I find is sexist, racist and homophobic because these activists only see them as a token of a collective (through the SJW feminist lens, which means they are poor fragile victims), not an individual. 

They prefer the easy, lazy route of changing established characters because it gains them the following, name/brand recognition and they don’t need to create a personality. These activists love to deconstruct and revise, they like to destroy instead of create.They think “compelling stories” is to invert everything the character stood for, examples: Luke Skywalker being turned into a coward and Captain America being revealed as a hydra agent nazi. 

They are not fighting the status quo, they are pissing off a lot of core fans that have been there since the start, and they’re politicized escapism and making it harder for new minority characters because there are people now that expect them to be some a token or political propaganda mouthpiece, instead of a new character. And that is a huge problem. Bravo, activists, good job. They alienate and berate fans and then complain when no one watches or buys their crap. That is regressive “logic” for ya. get your activism out of entertainment. Get active by creating new stories and characters. Or BTFO, hacks.

Their shaming and attacking and smearing people who call them out on their bullshit, or fans that just don’t choose to watch their useless remake/reboots/re-imaginings is unwarranted. Problem easily solved: create new characters and don’t make the political ideological bs priority one above character and story. Someone else mentioned the other day that with the internet and free market it is much easier to use word-of-mouth to get independent content noticed, if mediocre stuff like Twilight and 50 Shades can do it then we’ve all got a chance.

Another reason they want to put “women/minority characters” (token characters)  is as usual, they are using women/minorities to be the propaganda tools in their entertainment/ far-left propaganda. Because when fans call that shit out the critics and feminists SJWs can then shut down fans by calling them racist, sexist, white supremacists, nazis, bot, trolls, etc They can’t do that if the characters were white men, white men are not a protected group. They pulled this with Ghostbusters2016 and they pulled this shit again with The Last Jedi. Notice they couldn’t exactly pull this tactic off with Solo’s bomb at the box office.

An often heard quote in the past few years goes something like this: “I didn’t leave the Left, the Left left me.“ 

And for many on both sides of the Atlantic, it’s actually very unclear what the Left even stands for anymore. With the collapse of the Soviet Union, the anti capitalist economic preoccupations of the old Left began to take a back seat to the new way of understanding oppression. The politics of redistribution were replaced by a politics of recognition and with this transformation modern identity politics was born, and what makes identity politics significant and a departure from earlier movements is the demand not for the inclusion within the fold of a universal humankind, nor is it for respect in spite of one’s differences, rather what is demanded is respect for oneself as different.

Democrats still cling to the idea that they represent the true interests of the working class and that blue-collar voters who supported the GOP have been tricked, however in the last election cycle the Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton was a technocrat who openly disdained a large percent of the population and ironically made up mostly of white middle-class voters, calling them “deplorables”. Clinton was the symbol of what the Democratic Party has become and what its core values consist of for the DNC identity politics trumps all others and they believed it more important to elect the first female president by repositioning the party to represent the interests of a coalition of minorities upper-class professionals living in gated communities of course and powerful interests in Silicon Valley and Hollywood then to convince working-class Americans that the Democrats were still their party. 

In the aftermath of Hillary Clinton’s spectacular defeat the party has fragmented and the strongest voice in the Democratic Party isn’t even a registered Democrat, senator Bernie Sanders is a socialist and registered independent, who was himself thrown under the bus by the DMC, as well as newcomer and corporate media favorite Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who is also a member of the Democratic socialists of America. The key takeaway is the abandonment of the middle and working classes for identity politics. 

Identity politics favored for different reasons by academic and corporate interests alike is now the central operating principle within which the parties on the Left orbit. However once identity politics gains momentum it invariably subdivides giving rise to ever poll if rating group identities demanding recognition. LGB becomes, LGBTQ becomes LGBTQ rstuvwxyz, other letters have been added to the acronym and even the order has been rearranged at times. As different identity groups battle in their oppression Olympics over which group is least privileged, for today’s Left; blindness to group identity is the ultimate sin. 

On the other side of the Atlantic in the United Kingdom, Jeremy Corbyn, a socialist who became the Labour Party leader, by accident no doubt, imagines himself to be a champion of the working-class, but this is a working-class of his imagination rather than of the real world, he himself was brought up in a manor house and has spent his life working as an MP in a constituency that has never been touched by either industrialization or deindustrialization. What Mr. Corbyn is in fact presiding over is the transformation of the Labour Party from being one that champions the working and middle classes to a coalition of three main groups; ethnic minorities - particularly Muslims, public sector professionals and radicalized Millennials, most of them the University educated children of the salaried middle class who can’t get their feet on the property ladder. And just like in America identity politics as well as oppression Olympics spiraling is at the center of the Labour Party. And of course the British case is different from the American case which is different from the German case which is different from the Canadian case, but the Left in virtually all countries in the Western world is unified by their utopian messianic complex that has taken on cosmopolitan globalism as their main tenants and world view, and at all times emphasizes internationalism over national interests, group interests, over shared interests and in doing so have completely abandoned the role of representing the working and middle class voters. 

In the USA it was Democratic presidents who signed NAFTA and pushed for the trans-pacific partnership trade deals have their pros and cons, but the working class bore the brunt of the damage these deals caused in both the US and the UK. The Left champions mass uncontrolled and unrestrained immigration, but again it is the working class both in wage stagnation and in their neighborhoods that have to deal with the consequences of these political positions. And because the modern Left has ensconced itself in a shell of radical identity politics and shouts fascist and racist at anyone that disagrees with their insane view of reality. 

Things in countries around the West are changing. The political parties enjoying the most success and growth currently are those that espouse some combination of nationalism, populism and economic protectionism. The old parties of the Left have failed to grasp that this ideology appeals to the broad majority of the working and middle classes as well. The political tribalism of the Left has gone from inclusion to division and never-ending purity spirals, although inclusivity is presumably still the ultimate goal - at least in theory - in reality the contemporary Left is pointedly exclusionary. And all of this is coming at a time of Titanic and seismic demographic transformation currently taking place in the hyper diverse cities of the Western world. The working and middle classes who are now starting to live with the effects that will completely transform their society in the near future are looking for anyone that will speak to them, and for them, most are interested in safe streets, a stable economy, quality of life and a future for their children. 

Things such as radicalized gender politics and pronouns unrelenting and unending immigration and the creation of an ever dizzying array of phobias, ‘ist’s’ and ‘isms’ concocted almost daily at this point, grievance politics, the professionally offended and the transformation of language are not very compelling political positions to get behind for most people past the age of 25 or those with a job. 

And Democrats control the social narrative by shouting down anyone who points this out, by calling them “racist”. I care more about values than race, but it’s clear that many new immigrants don’t share the values that made America strong and prosperous….but at the same time, I see right through the large scale immigration con being perpetuated on America, by the left.

Yes, the plan is, to end freedom and bring in socialism. There is no need to lie about it, or kid ourselves. The left is deliberately trying to do this, and they have been at this plan for a very long time, and may very well succeed. …and all this is highly problematic for a country trying to stay socially stable and survive as a democracy.

As a for instance, there is a very long list of groups in America that are non-whites, and earn more money than whites: Americans with parents from India, Chinese Americans, Japanese Americans, Filipino Americans, Korean Americans….and of course Jewish Americans, who I consider white, but many don’t. And this is not even a recent phenomena. There is data going back to the 1970s, that show non-whites on my list, economically out-performing whites in America. So the left’s economic narrative is simply not true.
