The kid next door (talking toddler age) is playing outside and just wiped out in his Fisher Price car, and I just heard the babysitter say, “oh no, your insurance premium is definitely going to go up!” And the kid who had only been mildly sniffling before made the most confused, but startled sound you’ve ever heard.
Just very clearly an attempt at saying, “my what?”
He straight up forgot about his scraped knee and is now worried about whatever the fuck an insurance premium is.
i mean yeah it's cool that your city is built in the shadow of the bones of a fallen leviathan from ages past but does anybody want to talk about how prohibitively expensive and increasingly gentrified the housing situation in the bones of the fallen leviathan is
it does serve as a neat (if a little on the nose) visual metaphor for the parasitic greed of landlords though i'll give you that
mcr members x songs i associate with them !! :))

I’ve always loved the very loose knit, destroyed sweater worn by Trent Reznor in the music video for “Closer”, and I can knit… not well but I can. So I made something inspired by it. I didn’t use a pattern, it ended up both too wide and too short even after blocking. Oh well. It’s the first sweater I’ve made and I’ve learned for next time. Knit in size 8 (I think) crochet cotton, hand knit except for the cuffs, neckline, and lower hem, which I machine knit. I’ll probably try to make something like this again that fits better in the future
Rare white woman win free my girl she ain’t do nothin wrong
She was just doing the coke that gives you the executive function to torch a misogynist
Seeing the article saying she did it because "he made a joke about scones." Like no she did it he made a joke about how she should be enslaved to a man
Just want to point out the manipulative way this article is written.
"... a court that finally said - no, you don't get less time for this." Why finally? Was she convicted for several other crimes where the ruling always offered her an easier sentence?
The way the word claimed is used only when describing her defense. If you want to make sure her arguments are understood as fallible human arguments, then you should have the grace to also describe what Jake Loader claimed. And present at least a rough overview of the evidence of both sides.
The clear comparison between her prison sentence and his life long disability is one that is often used in murder or injury cases, but this article clearly only positions itself on Jake Loaders side.
The way they summarized a misogynistic joke as being "... a joke about scones."
The article itself is severely misogynistic. It is biased and bad journalism because it goes into too much detail in some parts (why is it important for the reader to understand the exact condition of Jake Loader? Did he agree to this depiction of himself?) and it invalidates parts of the public's understanding of the case.
A reader agreeing with Loader and the article will agree, gleefully think "She got what she deserves." and never question their own biases. Such a reader may maybe themselves make misogynistic jokes and comments and (thinking only in the interest of such a reader here) may invite a similar fate, but will certainly harm and belittle the person those comments are targeted towards.
A reader disagreeing with the article will probably go away reading this with the impression that the courts are deeply misogynistic, never even wanted to understand Corbie Walpole's point of view and sentenced her unfairly. We don't know if that is true. Because the article didn't talk about it.
By reducing this case to a fun to read short story with a satisfying "the evil gets punished" ending, they produce an easy to digest blurb and completely invalidate everybody's involvement in the case.
Walpole as a violent crazed woman who cannot take a joke, Loader as the poor victim without regards to his opinion, future or past and all the case workers to incompetent misogynistists.
As an aside. Not even a little mention of the cocaine? If this was a story (article is too flattering a word) about two college students of the regions not persecuted race, would it not be a demonisation of drugs?

I think making character playlists is good for you and connected to analysis skills in a very fun way and low investment way. I know its seen as quite trivial but to me it operates the same way looking at a lot of art builds ur skills passively. Yummy enrichment activity
