He Thinks You’re Using Him To Get To His Members | Han Jisung
Requested <3 I’m not sure if I wrote this the way you were wanting, but I tried! I hope you like it, sweetheart xx
Things have been different lately, and not in a good way. You had been hanging out with the boys a lot more recently, which you thought would make Jisung happy, but it’s only been doing the opposite.
You tried to ignore it, but things just kept getting worse and it got to a point where you just couldn’t. You were upset and confused, and had no idea what you were doing wrong for Jisung to be treating you this way.
He had been giving you short responses, ignoring you, acting like he couldn’t wait for your time together to be over, never initiating physical contact and never showed you any affection back when you did it yourself. “Hey,” You beamed, walking up to Jisung’s locker. Jisung looked over at you for a split second and back at his locker. “Wanna hang out after school? I need help with my study guide, and you’re really good at science so I was just wondering. And you could even stay for dinner again, you know my mom loves you.”
“Can’t.” He sighed before slamming his locker shut. Your heart dropped once again in disappointment. “Have stuff to do. Sorry.” He slung his bookbag over his shoulder, not looking at you at all while he spoke.
“Oh,” You whispered back. “Okay, then. I’m sorry for asking, then. I didn’t know.”
Jisung snorted as he ran a hand through his hair. “Yeah, you never know.” He muttered under his breath, making your eyes dart up to him in disbelief.
“What is your problem?” You hissed, looking around at everybody around you, trying to keep your voice down.
“Oh, come on, (Y/N). Don’t act like you don’t know. You’re not that stupid.” Jisung sneered, making you gasp and your lip tremble. Before anything else could be said, you felt an arm wrap around your neck as your teary eyes locked with Jisung’s. You noticed how angry his eyes became, how his jaw tightened, how his body tensed up.
“Hey, would you look at that! My favorite girl and my favorite boy,” Hyunjin cheered, pressing a kiss to your cheek while swinging you back and forth. “Hey, man. You busy tonight? I wanna hang with somebody but everybody keeps bailing on me. Fucking assholes.”
“Sure,” Jisung spoke dryly. You gulped, your throat becoming tight and dry. “I have nothing to do tonight so why not? I’d love to hang out with you.”
The whole time he spoke, his eyes were locked with yours. He watched as your eyes became soft and weak, overcome with tears as he continued. His heart ached and he felt awful, but he reminded himself of why he was doing this. He was protecting himself.
“Great!” Hyunjin shouted, letting go of you to go to Jisung. “It’ll be a blast, dude.”
Jisung nodded, gulping as he watched a tear fall from your eye, his heart twisting as you immediately wiped it away so nobody would see. You took a shaky breath before faking a smile, finally looking away from Jisung. “I-I gotta go to class,” Your voice was shaky and weak, and Jisung was the only one who noticed. “See you guys later, I guess. Have fun tonight and b-be careful, please. Bye.”
Jisung’s heart shattered when you walked away, turning the corner and disappearing from his sight. You had always kissed him goodbye, always. You had always said ‘I love you’ before leaving, always. You had never done this before and Jisung knew he fucked up.
You jumped from your spot on your bed when Jisung barged in, your heart nearly exploding out of your chest. “Jesus, Jisung! What the hell are you doing here? Aren’t you supposed to be with Hyunjin right now?” You asked, hurt evident in your voice.
“Your mom let me in,” Jisung replied calmly, shutting the door behind him. “And I needed to see you.”
“Oh, now you needed to see me? Not last week when I wanted to hang out because I had a bad day? Or Tuesday when I was crying and begged you to come over because my sister and I got in a huge fight and you came up with a shitty excuse and just left me here upset? Or when I asked you to help me with my study guide? Because I’m pretty lost.”
Jisung sighed, rubbing his hands over his face. “(Y/N), look,” He spoke quietly, sitting at the edge of your bed. You stopped working on your homework to listen to your boyfriend, your arms crossed over your chest and your eyes pointy. “I just.. I don’t think this is working.” He finally whispered.
Your hard and cold front dropped immediately and your face fell. You didn’t know what to say, so you stayed silent as Jisung continued.
“Your happiness is the most important thing to me, and I’m sick of you faking it just to make me happy. You don’t deserve that. I don’t deserve that. You need to do what makes you happy, (Y/N). You need to do what I’ve always told you. Do what makes you happy and stop worrying about everybody else. You come first. You’re—”
“Jisung, what the fuck are you talking about?” You shouted, but immediately quieted down when you remembered your mom was downstairs. “I’m not faking anything! I’m the happiest I’ve been in years, Jisung. No, I haven’t been that happy these past couple of weeks, but that doesn’t mean I want us to break up! The thought never even occured to me!”
Jisung rolled his eyes at your words, making you scoff. “Just stop, (Y/N), come on. This is your chance! We can still be friends, you know. I just need some time to get over you first.”
“Get over me?” You squeaked back, voice small and weak. Jisung’s heart ached and he sighed, running his hand through his hair.
“(Y/N/N), baby, come on. I’m not the bad guy here, you have to—”
“And I am?” You asked loudly, tears cascading your cheeks. “And don’t call me baby while you’re trying to break up with me, you fucking asshole.”
“Don’t say it like that. That’s not what I meant.” Jisung spoke gently, his hand reaching to touch yours, something he knew that would calm the both of you down. His heart dropped when you yanked yours away, scooting farther away from him. “Baby, stop it. Come here. Just let me—”
“Stop calling me that. It’s just making everything hurt even more. Just leave me alone. I can’t do this right now, I c-can’t.” You begged, hiding your face as you sobbed. Jisung gulped and his eyes began to get teary but he blinked them away. Your words hurt him and angered him at the same time.
“You can’t do this right now?” Jisung scoffed. “I may be the one ending things, but things ended a long time ago because of you.”
His words made your breath hitch in your throat. You lifted your head up and furrowed your eyebrows. “What?” You had a million questions, but this one was the only one that could come out.
“You- Shit is the way it is right now because of you. You know that? You’re the one flirting with my best friends, being all giggly and touchy and then trying to hold my hand and cuddle with me at the same time. Fucking unbelievable. It is so obvious that you have feelings for Seungmin and Hyunjin, and just the fact that you keep trying to deny it is what’s pissing me off even more.” He finally admitted, sighing deeply afterwards.
You gasped, and your heart shattered. “What the fuck?” You scoffed. “You think I like your best friends? What kind of girl do you take me for? I’m in love with you, you fucking asshole! I have been for years! I don’t even understan—”
“That’s just it! You never understand! You’re too dense to realize what you’re doing!” Jisung stood up from your bed in anger, pointing a finger at you as you cried on the bed with your eyes locked with his. “You’re using me to get to my friends and I’m done! Look, look at this.”
You watched him walk over to your vanity, where you had photos of you and all the boys hanging up. You shook your head in frustration, tears falling nonstop. “You and all your little buddies. All my buddies.” Jisung laughed, making your heart shatter. “All of this shit is just a cover up and we both know it.”
He then pointed to the hundreds of photos of the two of you around the room. The framed picture your mother had made you as a Christmas present the previous year, the collage that hung above your bed with pictures of Jisung and occasional pictures of the both of you, your favorite picture of Jisung that sat in a blue frame on your bedside table with the (now dead) roses he had gotten you for your first date that you refused to throw away.
His chest rose and fell heavily as he stared at the photos of you two together, his exterior finally shattering. “Fuck, (Y/N).” He whispered, salty tears falling down his cheeks as he yanked at his hair. His vulnerable side had now overpowered his angry one.
“Jisung,” You whispered back, your heart in agonizing pain as tears continued to stream down your face. “Jisung, please. Please don’t do this.”
Jisung shook his head, his shaky eyes finally meeting yours. “I don’t know what’s gotten into me, (Y/N), I really don’t.“ He admitted, sobbing quietly as he made his way over to you. “I’m sorry.”
You shook your head and stood up, meeting him half way. Your arms wrapped around him immediately, holding him as tightly as you possibly could. Your face fell into the crook of his neck, your tears soaking his skin and shirt. His arms flew around you instantly, his face dropping onto your head as he breathed in your scent as if it was the last time. “Please don’t go.” You muttered into his chest.
Jisung tightened his grip on you, and he pressed multiple kisses on the top of your head. “I’m not going anywhere, baby.”
