Did Po Shan ever tell Xiao Ping that he was adopted during his lifetime?
i think ping can figure it out for himself. i figure something similar to the talk po and mr ping had just before tai lung comes back in kfp1 happened in this au, albeit its ping getting frustrated about how people expect great (kung fu-based) things from him since he’s the grand master’s son :[
by the events of the fic, i kind of implied that he (and by extension shifu) not only know they’re adopted but the circumstances in which they were in taken in from this scene in chapter 7:
“Thirty years ago, there was a rampage that nearly tore the Valley apart,” he began, ears flattened against his head. “The masters... lost a comrade in that battle. [...] If it weren’t for them, there wouldn’t be a Valley of Peace,” he continued, his words too controlled to be natural. “Even so, many things were destroyed that day. Businesses, homes…”
He looked to Ping, whose eyes quickly darted down to the ground. “...Families.”
