Matt shrugs his shoulders before grabbing your face before licking your cheek. “I can teach me everything I know. So he will be the best lawyer in town.” 

I start giggling uncontrollably cause I wasn’t expecting him to do that, leaning forward onto him to catch my breath, “That…he’d go to at home lawyer school”

“Yes, I still have all my books he could use.” He smiles at your giggles, loving how it sounded to his ears. “I like giggles.”

“I’m glad you like the giggles, cause I just couldn’t keep it together when you licked my face. We’d have to teach him how to read first before we can teach him law,” I pick my head up to look at him, still grinning and happy just being near him

She rested her head against his shoulder, watching the screen as he scrolled through. “No,” she replied softly.

“okay, is Sci-Fi in general just a no?” he asked, trying to keep it to simple questjons and narrow down their options a bit faster

“Sci-fi is fine,” she replied, “Just not in the mood for that one.” She relaxed into him, trying to not let the slight feeling of tiredness dig it’s claws in and take over.

“I understand, just thought I’d ask so I know what I’m looking for. So, moving on, horror in general, yes or no?” he asked, continuing to talk and hoping it was distracting her from her sickness. He wasn’t great at taking care of people but this seemed to be helping

She rested her head against his shoulder, watching the screen as he scrolled through. “No,” she replied softly.

“okay, is Sci-Fi in general just a no?” he asked, trying to keep it to simple questjons and narrow down their options a bit faster

She groaned, looking up at him. “You expect my brain to brain right now?” she asked with a deep pout, moving to lean against him instead.

“Alright, fair. What if I name a movie and then you say yes or no?” he asked, putting a comforting arm around her

She nodded with a soft smile, relaxing when he put his arm around her. “Sounds fair enough,” she replied quietly.

“Alright. Back To The Future?” He started, scrolling across the screen to a movie he liked and hoping she wasn’t uncomfortable with his arm being around her

“Oh, sure, okay. right. It’s nice to meet you, Steve, I’ve heard about you a few times but I’m fairly new to this uh, this universe so I’m introducing myself to everyone,” Peter said quickly, holding his hand out to Steve for him to shake

She groaned, looking up at him. “You expect my brain to brain right now?” she asked with a deep pout, moving to lean against him instead.

“Alright, fair. What if I name a movie and then you say yes or no?” he asked, putting a comforting arm around her

“I’ll throw my love at him as much as he’ll let me then, he deserves it,” I shift onto his lap, leaning my forehead against his

“You better.” He speaks before kissing your lips softly. “He wants all the love you can give him.”

I kiss him back, “I can and I will, I want him to feel as loved as he deserves to feel…I don’t know how much longer he wants to talk in third person, though,” I chuckle, nuzzling into his neck

“He is done now.” He holds the back of your head running his fingers though your hair. “I’m happy you are in my life. I needed you.”

I pause to let that sink in, smiling at his words and closing my eyes, “I’m glad I found you, then. I needed you, too, and I’m happy that we can make each other happy,”

He smiles at your words before kissing the top of your head. “Thank you.” He mumbles out.

“it’s no problem, you don’t have to thank me,” I wrap my arms tighter around him, smiling when I hear how content he sounds. “I like being a little family with you and Henry,”

“Yeah I do love our little family.” He smiles at you as kiss the top of your head.

I look up at him, resting my head on his chest, “You’re really cute when you’re with him,”

“Puppies always make everything cute.” He looks down at you kissing your nose. “I got myself two cute boys.”

I put my hands on either side of his face gently, not wanting to startle him with sudden moves but tracing his facial features with my hand, “Some would say you’re very lucky to have not one but two cute boys,”

He puts his hands on top of yours, gently rubbing your knuckles. “Yes, I am lucky.” He leans forward, kissing your lips.

I chuckle as I let him kiss me, kissing him back and shuffling so I’m sitting more on him than next to him, “I am, too…” I mumble against him, moving to kiss the rest of his face over and over.

He laughs at the kisses you put all over his face. “You kiss like Henry too.” He pulls you fully on his lap, holding you.

“wait a minute, do you mean that in a good way?” I ask quickly, pouting up at him but letting him pull me, settling in on his lap as I lean on him

“Well, I didn’t mean it as a bad thing. I love Henry’s kisses, and I love yours.” He looks at you with puppy eyes. “I didn’t mean to offend you or anything.” 

I smile when my heart melts from the look on his face, “You’re adorable, you didn’t offend me. I just didn’t know what you meant. That’s a really cute thing to say, so you can put your puppy eyes away,” I kiss him gently, Henry coming over to the side of the bed since he heard his name

“I will put away my weapons for now.” He looks over at where Henry comes up. He reaches his hand out and pets Henry’s head. “Maybe we can make him a service dog, so he can come with us everywhere we go?”

“Good, someone could get hurt,” he giggled, “I think that’s a really good idea! He’d be a very good service dog, he’s already such a good boy,” I gush about him, reaching over to pet him, too, stifling a cough in his sleeve as he did. “I’d have to figure out how we could do that, though, I hear there’s paperwork and such involved,”

“I’m a lawyer so I know about paperwork trust me so it won’t be a problem.” He moves his hands up and down Henry body feeling how soft he was. “Just a lot of training that’s all.”

“I think he can do it. He’d have us helping him,” I put my head on his shoulder, burying my face in his shoulder

“Well, my eyes don’t work as well to show him how to do everything, but my other senses work great.” He moves his head so he can kiss the side of your head.

“I know, and that’s okay. I can be your eyes and we’ll teach Henry just fine. I think he’d dig getting the vest,” I smile with my eyes closed as I feel him kiss my head and Henry hopping up next to us.

“Maybe get him a little lawyer suit when he comes to work with him.” He lets the top of Henry’s head. “Would you like to be a lawyer Henry?”

“Aw, that’d be adorable. We can get him a tie that matches yours, too. I think your friends would love it,” I reach my hand out to Henry, scratching behind his ear

“Maybe get him little red glasses.” He grabs his glasses off the table putting them on Henry. “How does he look?”

“He looks so cute! Hold on let me get my camera,” I lean over him, grabbing the camera and taking a picture of Henry

“Really? Your not lying?” He looks at Henry trying to imagine what he look like.

“Why would I lie? He’s adorable cause he’s a puppy and he looks like you. The glasses look good on him, but not as good as they look on you, of course, they compliment his fur,” I answer honestly, taking the glasses off of Henry and gently putting them back on him

“I never knew I look like a dog. That’s good to know.” He turns his head to look at you with a smile on his face. “So we have to get him glasses now?”

“You’re cute like one, could melt my heart with a look,” I roll my eyes with a smile, “we can get him glasses, too, you two would look like twins”

She took a slow breath to try balance herself out after the coughing before returning back to the soup. “Anything is fine. I’m not picky,” she replied with a shrug.

“You’re sure? Cause I could pick something really bad and you’d have no say.” Peter joked, flipping through movies to watch, “You don’t necessarily have to pay attention but I’d like to believe it helps,”

“Then don’t pick something bad. Even sick I can still kick your butt,” she replied, leaning back to get comfortable after she was done with the soup.

“Oh yeah? Then give me an example of something that you find to be good,” he chuckled, pulling his legs up under him
