It had been a long week. An excruciatingly long week for one Thea Queen. She had just moved to a new place, spent most of her time sorting through boxes, and missing her sisters. Thatās what the Sirens had been to her; the sisters she always wanted. After her falling out with Ollie and Roy leaving, Thea had been lonely. It was arguably the loneliest sheād been since Ollieās shipwreck. Those girls took her under their wing and pieced her back together. They had been there for her when she had no one else; she owed them so much. She was tired of moping around her place, so she convinced herself to get a little dressed up and go out.
Which is why Thea found herself drinking alone at a dimly lit bar. It was still pretty early in the evening, but for some reason the bar was already pretty crowded. Some girl was strumming an acoustic guitar and singing along on stage, but she wasnāt what had caught Theaās attention. The man Thea had sat next to had captured it. He had hazel eyes, dark, curly hair, and freckles that dusted his face like constellations. Growing up, Thea had been teased for her freckles and tried anything to hide them. Her mother told her a story about how they were actually angel kisses. For him, it seemed fitting. Those angels sure took a liking to him.
Of course, she was subtly eyed him, not wanting to come on too strong. Or at all, really. Thea hadnāt gone out to find someone new to go home with, she just deserved a night out.
