It's been awhile since I've done any mod updates, but I figured it was probably time I actually made a post announcing the mod proper: So I introduce you to
Dreamer's Edition!
A content expansion mod for Look Outside made as a collaboration between @bugeyedragonsarecool, and I, plus lots of other contributions from some of our friends, notably @trustywusty, @saintrubeniothings, and @sluggnya!
Dreamer's Edition's goal is adding side content and some new toys to the base game, with some minor tweaks/changes to some existing content where we wanted. It's been a passion project of ours for the past 9 months, so it's exciting it's almost done!
Most notable additions being:
Four new party members, with all the bells and whistles you'd expect from a full companion!
Re-implementation of the scrapped cursed mode roof fights with your party members!
More, under the read more:
Four new 'quests' the player can do, three involving three of the new party members, and one for an existing party member!
Two new mini dungeons, filled with new enemies!
You can make Aster transform early via trying to convince him to watch the footage in the security room, instead of the guinea pig!
Friendly NPCs/Party members now actually comment about the blackout while it's active! You can also now find the astronomers during it to chat with them.
Some walk sprites and battle sprites have been touched up.
The Plumbing Tools and Eyes now have traders.
Several new pieces of armor and weapons have been added!

Some little QoL additions:
All party members who are currently recruited gain exploration bonus EXP, instead of just those actively in the party.
Optionally enable Easier Saves at the start of the game, removing the danger requirement in your apartment.
Dreamer's Edition is releasing... However long it takes me to port the mod to 2.4, whenever that comes out!

god it's been years but i still cannot get over how after getting DMCA'd and subsequently passed to a new team a lot of the pokemon in pokemon uranium had gender differences added and every single one was a disney how can we tell which wolf is the girl level of terrible edit
like okay this one is like. okay. i get it. it's a lion. you remove the mane from the girl like a REAL lion. sure. ignore that it looks bald and way less visually interesting without the mane. but like i can accept there was a genuine reasoning here.
and then we rapidly descend into the territory of EWWWWW WHY WOULD THE GIRL ANIMAL HAVE-HAVE FACIAL HAIR?!?!
ignore that both of these are not in any way shape or form actually improved in any way by having a gender difference. and again, in fact look less visually appealing with a very core part of the original design removed for no reason other than the idea of a girl dragon having a mustache is disgusting. also throw some extra long eye lashes on that crow dragon, it still looked just a SMIDGE to masculine for me to stomach. Whew!
and then finally. finally. the cream of the crop. the ultimate 'what are we doing here' and 'oh god they never progressed past a kindergarten level of boy things vs girl things'
AH YES. THANK GOD. MY SUPERHERO WEREWOLF (masculine) HAS EYELASHES NOW. I ALMOST COULDN'T TELL SHE WAS A GIRL. OH AND ALSO LETS JUST SLIM DOWN THOSE ARMS. silly! we all know GIRLS dont have muscles! oh those fist are way too BIG and MANNISH for her too! remember she's just a wittle lady! oh, oh! make the legs less thick as well!!! dainty little lady cant have those!!!! oh, and make the fur less long and spiky while we're at it...we all know SPIKY is too boyish and DANGEROUS! she has to be cute teehee!
Genuinely surprised to see this from Jamie p and super glad as well. I feel like it's become such a pattern of seeing white queer creators casually say some racist shit or something to come out and then never properly apologize.
So seeing Jamie Paige be outright "No fuck y'all stupid racist white teens, she'd rather stop making music catering to you than let you make a fool of her art" is incredibly refreshing and makes me glad that to be a fan of hers and feel both seen and comfortably safe knowing that for once someone has the decency not to be a racist piece of shit!
Also go listen to Slayr right now! I remember hearing a couple of his songs before, and liking all of them, and this one is no different. Honestly I hope we get to see more hip-hop sampling and remixes of vocaloid music because its so so cool and wish it was done more often.
And hey this is also directed at all you fuck ass "rap is overstimulating" idiots on Tumblr too!
Something else I think is important to add to this post as well :]
A bit more self explanatory, but I'm glad he's confident to state it for the people in the back that Vocaloid isn't just a white people thing. It's a bit bittersweet to me in a sense that a lot of black creators online feel the need to hide themselves, but I definitely understand (I'm guilty of this sometime too the way Tumblr acts sometimes) but I'm glad to see that people are being more openly anti racist for once and I hope this trend doesn't stop.
Also I know it's already his most popular song, but it is such a banger too, go listen to this and the rest of his vocaloid music too!
