“The Shonen Protagonist joins The Organization” is such a cheap and easy hack for framing a narrative because the author never has to come up with a reason why the protagonist gets involved in each arc. It’s just that The Organization has a new Mission for the protagonist every time and the protagonist gets to say, “Righteo, thanks plot for telling me what to go do.”
Which makes Fullmetal Alchemist so much funnier because Edward Elric very very much does join The Organization. He’s in fact quite famous for joining The Organization. Where The Organization is a hostile fascist dictatorship with immense military power which is good at both giving orders and punishing defectors.
And yet over the course of the series Edward is so allergic to ever being told what to do that he in fact never ever goes on an Organization-Ordered Mission. And the exactly one time The Organization DID try to tell him what to do Edward hated it so much he fucked off and impaled himself at the bottom of a mineshaft about it.
atla just so happened to write one of the most insane and complex brother sister relationships in all of television, and yet for some reason everyone focused on zuko and azula instead, even though they are basically just normal siblings, and as such not even that interesting ..
their dynamic is more fraught and tragic than you could ever comprehend……
this☝️ is just a typical sibling interaction
katara and sokka are what happens when you are your brother’s mother and your brother also tries to be your father. you love them, you hate them, you’re half of them, you can’t stand them, you look after them, they keep you safe.
azula and zuko are both just gifted kid burnouts with a dad that only loves the winner.
#yeah when they're not trying to kill each other azula and Zuko are p normal. #katara and sokka on the other hand spent the majority of their childhood trying to raise each other #and were also the ONLY kids in their age group that they ever interacted with. #they are so. they're so. #''i don't remember what my mom looks like I just picture katara'' WHEN HE HAS HIS MOTHER'S FACE. kills me. I wish I had this hat
the whole "Ralsei needs a hat" thing in chapter 5 is so funny and sad when you realize thats just Flowery's way of trying to get Ralsei to realize they dont like to be bossed around
like Ralsei has been a doormat this whole game, so forcing them to do the one thing they dont want to do might help them realize that they dont have to keep being a doormat. likewise him teasing Ralsei because "Don't you like serving humans?" is supposed to make them think about their actions and whether they actually want to serve lightners their whole life as opposed to carving their own path
every hero needs a villain, everybody needs some pushback to grow, and hes simply taking on that role. Flowery does have good intentions, he just has a different way of getting them across
even the way he's described in context of his relationship to the other flowers. he's yellow's sparring partner, blue's dance rival, etc. he pushes all the flowers to be better too, because that's what he does. flowery is not a villain, he is a challenge.
eat an entire can of sweetened condensed milk. you deserve it.
(sigh) okay... (CRUUEEENNNCH....) (SCREEEEEENCH...) owie.. (CRUUEEENCH)
this is one of the most rewarding things about posting self care tips on this site. witnessing people's lives getting better in real time. this is why I post
i love the new choreo during let it out cause it’s staged in a way that makes the infected echo paul as he questions his journey. they act as a learning conscience picking up and repeating after paul not only representing his own internal trials at this moment but also the ever adapting hive mind that has morphed so far from what it was during la dee dah dah day.
i thought the lil pet man was so cute i had to go get one

Self indulgent crossover doodle of my favorite alien hunters and alien
Next up someone is going to claim that the Narnia series isn't kids books.
Kids books is probably not the best way to word it, you can enjoy them at every age, including your childhood, as you get older you may find new truths in them, but they're still good for any age.
