The Broken Arrow Murders
On July 22, 2015, two teenage brothers, Robert and Michael Bever attacked their family in their house in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Background:
Robert Bever born September 17, 1996 and Michael Bever born on November 4, 1998.
The Bever parents homeschooled their children and kept them from interacting with neighbors and children. David Bever (The Father) was physically and verbally abusive toward his children. Even the mother as well.
Robert and Michael planned the act for some time and intended to commit a shooting spree hoping it would outdo the Columbine High School Massacre and the 2012 Aurora Theater shooting.
The killing:
Late in the evening, everyone was in bed except for Michael, his brother, and his sister Crystal (13 years old) . Crystal was told to tell her brothers to do the dishes. As she went into their bedroom she found them putting on body armor and noticed that there were knifes set on the bed.
When she arrived in their room Michael asked "should we do it right now?" as Robert replied "yes." Michael told Crystal to look at something on his computer. When she did Robert came up behind her and slit her throat. Crystal ran and started screaming from the bedroom and headed toward the front door. Crystal ran outside but was dragged back inside the house.
Robert then stabbed his mother several times on the face, chest, arms, neck and abdomen. making it approximately 48 stab wounds.
Then, Michael knocked on the bathroom door where he had heard his 10 year old brother Christopher and 5 year old sister Victoria lock themselves in. "let me in. He's gonna kill me" He said as they opened the door. He then stabbed them to death.
Michael then went to his fathers home office where his 12 year old brother Daniel had locked himself inside. Michael used the same tactic he used. Once his brother opened the door Michael stabbed him while Robert joined in.
At some point the brothers Father came out of his room and Robert stabbed him repeatedly. He suffered 28 stab wounds to his back, chest, neck and abdomen.
When they were finished with their plan the brothers ran to a creek behind their house to hide. The brothers were located by the police and search dogs near the creek. One of the dogs had bitten Michael in attempt to subdue him.
When they were located they were both covered in dirt and blood.
Aftermath:
Robert bever pleaded guilty to five counts of first-degree murder and one count of assault and battery with intent to kill. He was sentenced to five consecutive terms of life in prison without the possibility of parole. plus one additional life term for the assault of his sister.
Michael bever went to trial as an adult and was convicted by a jury in may 2018 on all six counts. then in august 2018 a judge sentenced him to five consecutive life sentences for the murders, plus 28 years for the assault on his sister.
