The mayor seemed upset about her coming over, but it really was a matter of his safety. “You can enjoy a drink, but I’m going to sit here with you.” She slid into the chair across from him. “Didn’t anyone contact you? Someone gave the department info that they were going to try and kidnap you.” Valid claim or not, she was going to try and prevent it. He was still a person after all, and he was way better than the last mayor. He actually got legislation passed through.
Mayor Loki looked her over. He smiled when he realized she was just trying to protect him. If anyone was good at protecting him, it was her. She was strong and could hold her own. "Kidnap me?" The idea seem ridiculous but in a town like this, it could be a reality. "What.. should I do?" He asked looking over his shoulder for a threat. He knew he shouldn't have come here. Not everyone liked him, no matter how hard he worked, there was still people unhappy with his laws, mostly young people who wanted to find something to protest.

Did Dr. Strange and Dr. Banner just end up having sex on the card table?
I sure hope not. That table is not very sturdy.
Guys night. ft strange&Banner
Bruce was never really good at having friends.  Sure he’d had a few through the years, but it was never anything like what he’d assumed friendships were supposed to be.  Nothing close or lasting.  Acquaintances, really.  It was what he was used to, what he was capable of.  But then, now when he thought he’d learned everything, Bruce was finding his life changing dramatically.  Stephen was part of it, but also this.  Going to a friends house with his…Bruce wanted to say boyfriend, but that seemed far too…juvenile.  Whatever it was, it was something that felt like turning over a kind of new leaf.
He’d had a client stay a little too late- antivax parents were going to be the end of him really- and he was going to have to meet Stephen over at Loki’s place.  He sent him a quick text to let him know he was on the way over, and then sent a similar text to Loki.  He really didn’t know the protocol for a night like this, and felt just a little awkward when he showed up at Loki’s door, waving to a leaving Peter Quill before knocking on the door.  "Hey,“ he said with a smile when Loki opened the door.  "Am I too early?  I didn’t bring anything either, I’m starting to feel like a bad guest.”
Fashionably late by virtue of having to rely on a cab, Stephen was knocking on Loki’s door fewer than ten minutes after Bruce, grinning and raising the promised bottle of scotch as a sort of greeting when Loki answered. “Evening, mister mayor. I’m here to spike root beer floats and lose money.”
As unused to this sort of situation as the other two were, Stephen still carried himself with his typical air of ease as he slipped out of his coat and found a spot to hang it. His smile became easier still as he stepped over towards Bruce, a hand settling on his shoulder for a warm squeeze and brief swipe of his thumb. “Hey.” There was a measure of affection in that one word that was unavoidable, even as Stephen was well enough aware of their surroundings as to avoid making Loki feel like any kind of third wheel. “Ready to kick our asses at cards?”
Loki was glad to see Bruce. He pet his friend on the back. "No, you are here at the right moment. I honestly thougth you wouldn't show up." He laughed. 'When a young man like you could be out having fun at some rave." He really did try to imagine Bruce at a rave. "I am glad you didn't bring anything. We have a lot. Come in I can get you a virgin any drink."
He got inside before turning around to catch the door for Strange. "Evening. Oh right, come lose all your money to me.. or probably bruce." He shut the door and locked it. He turned around to go turn on the alarm. If Amora came home, she would know how to get in. If Thor came over. (unlikely) He would just shout. He watched them together. They were sweet. Loki had yet to really see two men together like this, he didn't mean to stare. "Come on in." He said feeling his phone ring in his pocket, he lead his guest to the living room. The phone call was one of the women he liked to keep company. He sent a message to her. "Busy." Was his message to her. He really needed to figure that lifestyle out. He was too busy and too much in the public eye to be doing such things anymore, He wanted to try to be a good person, like strange and Banner. "Come on then. I got pizza. Help yourself while I turn on some music?"
Dinner and a movie?
Hope really didn’t have that much time for nice men.  Nice men tended to want nice women, and that was something Hope could only pretend at being.  And pretending to be a nice woman wasn’t something she was really into.  She could do it for awhile, but it always got to be incredibly dull incredibly quickly.
It was what made her a little hesitant about Loki, because there were some ways about him that were just…too nice.  But the more time she spent with him, the more Hope was starting to believe that was just a thin veneer on who he really was.  Someone darker.  Someone that was playing a part and playing it well.  She was sure of it when he grabbed her just in front of her door, her keys faltering in the lock when he pulled her back against him. Â
Loki got tired of playing perfect and sweet all the time. He did it well in public. He tried to play the part of perfect white mayor. Sometimes he believed it himself. A version of himself that could work. A version that would make him not feel alive, but he would be good and that's all people wanted. Someone good to believe in. A hero. He knew she was after him and wanted to take him fully. He appericate the steps he didn't have to take to get to this point. It was pretty plain what they both wanted.
this aint a scene.
Thor sighed and had to look away from the tears in Loki’s eyes.  Thor had shed plenty of tears over the dreams he had, but he kept them private.  There was nothing he was more ashamed of, how he would sometimes wake in the middle of the night, his pillowcase damp with tears, and how he felt paralyzed to stop them from continuing to flow out of him.  Weeping for a person and a people that he’d completely made up in his own head. Knowing that Loki was going through the same thing didn’t make it any easier.  It made it harder in a way and Thor felt a kind of anger building in him at how acutely unfair the whole thing seemed.
"I don’t need help, I just need to forget about it,” Thor said under his breath and then ran his fingers through his messy hair.  "It’s not real.  It’s just a bunch of fucked up…visions or something.  Maybe we’re just schizo or something.“  He huffed and shook his head.  "It’s my room, man, where the hell do you think I’m going to go?  I’m here.  I’m not good at…you know, being comforting and shit, but I’m here.”
Loki could hear the hurt in Thor's voice. He reached his hand out to try and comfort him the best he knew how. He didn't want him to suffer. He didn't mean to come here and stir trouble, he just wasn't sure where to go or what to do. He knew he probably should have just stayed home and let himself go nuts alone. He could see how stressed thor was with the whole thing. "I .. alright Thor. I am here for you. I suppose you are right. I am in your room." He wanted to get up, but he was certain how.
He decided that they had fallen asleep together before. In hotel rooms or moving. He was just glad no one else laid here now. He also didn't want to think about the last time Thor washed his sheets. It was probably when Loki washed his sheets two months ago. He would do it again before he left "It's fine. you imagine we could just.. watch a movie then?"

Valkyrie sat at the bar, hoping something would happen. It had been a slow Tuesday night, with her job feeling pointless. There were no fights, no underage children trying to sneak in, and certainly no harassments of any kind. She hated boring nights with a passion. It left her feeling antsy and ready to fight. Seeing a suspicious figure in the corner, she walked over to observe. “And what exactly do you think you’re doing here?”
Mayor Loki had to get out for a bit. He wanted to explore around. He semi dyed his hair black to hide out and wore glasses. He wanted to have fun tonight and not be mobbed by people on laws and rules and raises. He had been dealing with that all week, along side Amora and his confusing maybe relationship? He wasn't sure what they were. Whatever it was or wasn't, he felt lonely in it. He turned to a voice. "I believe I am enjoying a drink." He looked the female over. "Is it alright if I do that, in peace" He said with a bit to his tone.
“Thank you,” Stephen murmured as he accepted the cigar, glancing it over appreciatively before he let Loki do the honor of lighting it for him. He didn’t inhale but let the smoke roll around in his mouth for a moment as he considered his answer to Loki’s question, eventually letting it escape his lips in a thick cloud. “No, that online business isn’t really my style. We’ve been close for some time, after he came to my practice soon after it opened to introduce himself. We certainly have had our share of pleasant conversations,” Stephen added with the slow sort of smile that was unavoidable, attempting to mask it with another quick puff of the cigar, eyes flickering away to glance around the bar. “But I don’t know that either of us really expected it to, ah. … evolve as it has.”
Loki listen to him and nodded. It was sweet that Bruce had maybe found someone to appreciate him. Banner wasn't one to take big leaps of faith on anything, at least not lightly. Banner was safe. He was also very intelligent and kept he and his brother alive. "I can see it evolving. You both seem like you would have intelligent conversations for hours. He's pretty easy to talk to, isn't he?" Loki trusted bruce with everything going on in his life. Bruce was the big reason, other than Thor that Loki hadn't fallen too hard into illegal substance. He heard a last call from the bar. "Want one last drink?" He asked. "Everything is on me." He mused.
“Vacation?” Amora repeated, immediately perking up at the idea. Running a town was thrilling, yes, but so was jetting away to a foreign place without another word. She nodded slowly, of course, they couldn’t simply neglect their duties, Loki especially. This is what you wanted. Some voice in the back of her head hissed, she couldn’t lust for a lifestyle that was incompatible with her dreams. “When everything quietens down,” She agreed, “Maybe Hawaii.”
Loki wasn't sure when anything would quiet down. He looked at Amora. Her eyes seem to be somewhere else. Was she misrable? She probably desired someone else. He could give her what she wanted, but could she give him what he wanted? Someone to be by his side forever. Someone to love him despite his many buried down flaws. "Hawaii sounds lovely." He hummed, tilting his head back and looking at the stars. He closed his eyes and tried to rest his mind, instead allowed the wind to calm his nerves. That thoughts were worse as he tried to relax his mind. He stood up and got out of the tub. He kissed her on top of her head. “Good night, Amora.” He didn’t dare ask her to join him. He didn’t think she would. HE picked up one of the towels, wrapped it around his waist and went inside to retire to his room.

Poker chips. Cards. Rootbeer.Rum. Candy. Chips. oldies 80s music? Should he do 70s? he would make a mix. Pizza and buffalo wings on it's way. And Cigars. He had the room set up with stremers. He got large mugs and the best homemade rootbeer from down at the ice cream shoppe. He didn't have a lot of friends. He had a lot of dates with very attractive women. (Past tense, except not really. But it was complicated.)
Loki put on a nice clean black shirt. He heard the door, and went to get the pizza. He open the door to met Peter Quill.  A very interesting male. He gave him a 50 dollar tip which got him a rather long and unwanted hug. He gave Peter a twenty on top of that to go away. He hoped that they would come over. He knew they were into each other and perhaps they rather just spend their free time with themselves. Loki often tried to invite Thor over. Thor had his life and preferred to hang out with younger friends. Loki thought he heard a car and perked up. It was just his neighbor. He sighed, shut the door went to turn on the porch light. He went to go put the pizza and buffalo wings on the counter top. Maybe  he should have done pulled pork? Was pizza too generic?

this aint a scene.
Thor took the drink from Loki and gave him a sideways kind of smile, seeing the serious look in his brother’s eyes and not wanting to see it.  Not wanting to address it.  At all.  He put the cup to his lips and took the whole drink down in one go, swallowing it back and then shivering a little. “I…Loki, dude, I love you, I do but I…we aren’t kids anymore.  We can’t just sit around and bullshit about these stupid ass dreams anymore.”
He could remember years and years of them sitting around, talking about these dreams they had, trying to recreate this world in their dreams out in the backyard, being Gods of some other universe with magic powers. Just silly kid stuff.  But when he got older and the dreams got darker and realer…Thor didn’t want to talk about it or think about it. Â
“If you’re insane then so am I, Loki, you know that,” Thor said, his voice stiff, and soft, but he was sure Loki could hear him.  "I still get them too.  They aren’t…they’re meaner then when we were kids.“  He swallowed hard and looked down at his hands, one clenching the game controller so hard that he could hear the plastic buckle, just a little bit.  "It’s not real.  It can’t be real, its…we’re both a little fucked up.  Maybe we should get some fucking meds for it.  God knows drinking and smoking weed only helps so much.”
Loki felt tears in his eyes when Thor spoke. He couldn't even concentrate on anything else, but Thor's speech. He did miss some parts of their childhood. When they would pretend. They bonded that way. Thor and him side by side forever. WEll, that was until Thor figured out how his cock worked for fun.
then Loki was second to hormones and growing up. He knew what thor was talking about. "Mine are darker too. "I can call Dr. Banner in the morning. Will you please stay the night?" He begged. He needed Thor and wanted him to be here for him. "Let me help you, we .. we can help each other?"

Dinner and a movie?
Hope felt something of a chuckle on her lips, but she only let out a small huff of it, not wanting to give too much away.  "And you aren’t?“ she asked before giving him her address, trusting that he would be able to find it.  It was the nicest apartment building in the town, it shouldn’t be that hard to figure out.  She pursed her lips.  "Let’s just say that you’re the first man I’ve met here that’s worth bringing home and it’s been awhile.”  She slid her fingers lightly up and down his thigh still, her eyes looking out at the street.  "And from what I can tell, you’re at least decent enough to still respect me in the morning.  If not, I’ll find a way to crush you,“ she teased, but it was only half teasing, really, deep down.
She tapped her anxious fingers on his thigh, and also on her own knee, watching the current red light with a kind of angry determination until it turned green.  Thankfully the ride to the apartment building was still short, and soon Hope was sliding out of the passenger seat and fishing out her keys.  "Right this way,” she said with a low, lascivious lilt to her voice.  She winked and took his hand, leading the way to her apartment.
Loki looked over at her and smiled. He was trying to keep himself from losing it. "I am honor to be considered." She was a surprise. She seem to have a way with words. She made him feel wanted and special. He knew she could be lying about being one of the only men she had visit. He didn't really care at this moment, not when he hand was on his thigh like it was.
They both watched the stop light with anti caption. He could see the apartment from the damn red light. He got out and locked the doors. He walked with her to her front door. It was so peaceful. Her apartment building was nice.
