buck’s couch

the buzziest thing about buddie is how devoted they are to each other. buck wanted to live, but he wanted eddie to live more. eddie has shown repeatedly that he is kind to the people who hurt him, but he was ready to kill someone for buck. they were both ready to give up these big pieces of themselves just to make sure the other made it home.

eddie Cannot go to sleep without buck once they start dating. like when eddie’s tired and ready to go to bed he says so and buck’s like okay night honey i’ll be there in a bit and eddie’s like 🙁. and then buck goes to bed with him

Eddie “you don’t have to be anything for anyone” Diaz when Buck puts space between them because he realizes he’s acting too much like Eddie’s husband, which he’s not because Eddie’s straight and a renter: “Wait. No. You do have to be that actually.”

buck and theo having conversations about connor and kameron because it’s good for theo to talk about them and explore his grief and also because buck never wants theo to forget his parents. buck also takes theo to their gravesites so theo can update them on all the adventures he’s been having. and one day theo gets curious and wonders why buck never talks about his parents. are his parents gone too? and buck has to shake his head until he hesitates and says, yeah, actually, someone i considered to be like my dad is in heaven, just like yours is. and theo takes that and keeps it close to his chest. and he has to ask what buck meant by someone being like his dad. and buck explains that sometimes, people can be like that for you without being that. and theo says, well, you’re like my dad too, but you aren’t. and buck just has to turn away and wipe his tears as soon as possible after that.
