episode called evan buckley and the terrible horrible no good very bad date and it’s buck trying to come up with a plan for his and eddie’s first date but each idea he comes up with happens to be related to the next call they respond to all of them being wildly unlikely disasters

he literally admitted to his sister that he used his ex boyfriend in an effort to feel better about missing his best friend. and sex is literally the only thing that made him feel better about missing eddie and be able to sleep in the house btw.

he tries to use ravi the entire episode to help tend to the wound of missing eddie because having a friend should help him with missing eddie right. but what helps him literally sleep at night is a bunch of alcohol and then sex. and he nearly gets back together with tommy. because ultimately what he’s trying to replace with eddie’s departure is not a best friendship but a romantic partnership. just without the sex. and then when he’s called out about his feelings he freaks the fuck out about it and gives a verbal admission without realizing it and says “i dont have to sleep with everyone i have feelings for” and then makes such severe denying claims to his own sister.

just thinking about how eddie said 'he'll love you. like we all do' when buck came out to him. how the subtext was there, but we have never heard him say the words 'i love you'. we've gotten 'you really do matter to me' and 'it's not nothin'' and 'because evan', but we have never heard eddie tell buck he loves him unless he is hiding behind other people too.

it makes it even more glaringly obvious that chimney can look hen in her eyes and say 'i love you for that', but eddie makes everything about chris or the 118 if he wants to tell buck he loves or misses him
